UpTheCreek at Mason Creek Preserve - Old Homosassa

This home built in 2019 is one of the most recognizable homes in Old Homosassa. Directly across from the well known and often photographed twin roosters on Mason Creek this home is located within private protected nature preserve and wetland management lands. It offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, laundry area, second floor deck and full game room. Just blocks from The Freezer, MacRae’s, WildSassa, Shelly’s Seafood & Fish Market, River Safaris, the famous Monkey Island, multiple boat ramps and Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. You can spend your days snorkeling with manatees, scalloping, taking an air boat ride, enjoying the fishing and sun on a rental boat, enjoying amazing local fare, cooking up some fresh fish or seafood, walking the wildlife park or kayaking or SUPing the local channels and Homosassa River. A few minute drive offers Crumps, Margurita Grill, Seven Sisters Springs, Chassahowitzka River, Weeki Wachee Springs Water Park and Weeki Wachee Mermaid City, Crystal River, Fort Island Trail Beach, Kings Bay and many other fantastic experiences.

There is a long driveway that is able to park four or five cars or two pickups with boat trailers so long as backing in or out isn’t an issue.

Exceptional Property and Host

We have stayed at this property a few times and enjoy the proximity to the water for our boat outings as well as the how close it is to our favorite local bars. The host are very responsive to any questions and requests which is admirable and I highly recommend this property to other guests.

Great modern House

Stayed 5 nights ,the views from 2 floor windows and covered porch were wonderful, My grandson loved the downstairs gameroom very spacious and ping pong might be his favorite game now , great family time.Lots of parking and private back yard in a quiet nature setting Just a very relaxed vacation, definitely will be back next year .

Great house!

The house is nice and comfortable! We enjoyed our relaxing visit and great communication with owners. It is in a quiet area with good restaurants and an amazing ice cream stand nearby. As recommended by the host, we took an airboat tour with River Safari’s and had an amazing time!

Would Recommend

First time to Homosassa and we absolutely loved the location of the house. It was close to really great food, local shops, and easy to get to. The couch is miserable, but they said they'll probably replace it so shouldn't be a future problem. The bar in the game room was a great home office... fresh air, nice view, lots of space to spread out. The place is worth a stay.

Wonderful place

The home is absolutely beautiful and so convenient to everything we wanted to do!! The area around the home was quiet and perfect for relaxing. Great space below for fun and games, ping-pong, jenga, etc. Would definitely stay again when homosassa. BONUS: We weren't expecting it and were happily surprised to find the owners had provided paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher pods, trash bags, Linens/sheets bath towels, seasonings, spices, salt, pepper etc. They even provided detergent and dryer sheets for the On-site Washer and dryer. We really appreciated not having to inflate our vacation grocery bill purchasing these items. Additionally there were complimentary streaming services and internet as well.(Netflix and hulu).

Weekend on the river

Homosassa is a great area to visit the springs.Very relaxing and enjoyable. Make sure to try Margaritaville it’s a fabulous place for lunch or dinner. The place we rented was perfect! Thank you so much!

We had an amazing time at Mason Creek! The location was amazing very close to all of our favorite places in Homosassa. The house was just as beautiful as the pictures. The hosts were very sweet and informational. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location and space

The location can’t be beat! Within a short walk of historical landmarks, restaurants and the water. The unit is well stocked with plenty of bath towels, linens and kitchen supplies. The beds were incredibly comfortable as well. We had a lot of fun in the game room which also has a big fan and kept the space cool! The owners are very welcoming and responsive! Overall a great trip made better by this great VRBO!

Nice 3-bedroom rental with great view of natural Florida--frogs, birds, Florida greenery-- at the back of house. Very close to Homosassa Springs attraction as well as eating and shopping spots. Comfortable spaces in house, outdoor dining on deck, well-stocked kitchen, pristine cleanliness, internet available. Host was easy to communicate with, and very responsive.

Second time staying, we enjoy the peacefulness of the property with close proximity to all the bars and restaurants! Well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds and the garage game room is a fun addition, especially when it’s raining. Great Family Rental!

This house is wonderful for a family vacation. Plenty of room and the bonus is the game room on the first level. We enjoyed being able to spend time watching the sports, playing the games and having our extended family visit while we were there. Perfect place to host a small family gathering. Host are very easy to coordinate the checkin. They communicate and respond to any request. We would definitely stay at this house again.
