A slice of heaven in the Country side of Cummings!

We had a great time of our stay at this cabin in the country. Plenty of beautiful views and peace and tranquility to help you forget the hustle and bustle of the city, yet close enough the visit. The cabin is the real deal experience and has all the amenities needed. Highly recommend!

Amazing Property

We had a water issue at our home that caused us to have to find a place foe our family for a couple of weeks. We were so fortunate to have found this property. It was absolutely amazing and felt like we were on vacation. There is so much land to just walk around and enjoy the outdoors. It was absolutely beautiful and the owners were super helpful and quick to respond.

Great cabin in the country

We loved staying in this log cabin/house for 3 weeks. The rooms are nice size and the kitchen and living room are well appointed. It was clean and it smelled good. The floors are a little creaky and there is zero sound proofing, but otherwise the place is impeccable (and we are very picky guests). The back deck was so cozy to hang out in when it rained, and I loved practicing cooking on the Blackstone griddle there. If we need to stay again in Cumming, we’ll definitely be back.

Amazing Farm Cabin

This place and setup is great for family and friends. The house is updated and clean with all the furnishings you would need. The setting is perfect on the farm with the horses just out the back door. Owners were very nice and helpful during our stay. Would definitely recommend.

10 Year Search

A fantastic cabin experience with easy host communications for all your needs. We have been traveling to Cumming to visit my three college-age kids for ten years. We've always stayed in hotels, and the hotel experience has lost appeal. My wife and I decided to try VRBO for a new adventure. And what a great experience it was for all of us at this cabin home. Swings. The walk down the farm road lane to see the grazing horses and playful goats in the pens was so peaceful and beautiful. The kids kept saying... "I can't believe this is an actual cabin." The experience differed from the concrete city we have gotten used to, and the cabin offered the best family time, ample space, comfort, and amenities. We cooked and ate meals together in the "treehouse" dining room, and in the mornings, we drank coffee on the huge back porch. Do yourself a favor and book this farmhouse cabin when looking for a great place to stay in the city of Cumming but want the feel of a mountain cabin farm.

Family trip to GA

Beautiful cabin and property! It is furnished very nicely, and as everything you need. We felt very at home while staying there. Our kids also enjoyed walking down to see some of the animals on the property. The owners were friendly and easy to get in touch with.

Round 2 Just as Good

We stayed here over summer 2022 for a baseball tournament. When we scheduled the tournament again for summer 2023 there was no question among our group as to which property they wanted me to try and book. House, property and host all exceed expectations. Just the right balance of seclusion and proximity to convenience. Modern with a rustic feel. Host treats you like a long-time neighbor. Recommend without hesitation. Not sure I will make another baseball trip to this area, as my kid has now "aged out" for this event but if we do, I know where I'm staying

Would Highly Recommend

The location was beautiful, such a nice change from suburbia, but still close enough to all the necessities and main attractions of Atlanta. The cabin was spotless, and the beds were so comfortable, I've already googled the mattress brand and added it to my wish list. I would not hesitate to stay here again should we ever return to the area.

Great place to relax and let the children play. The house was very spacious and comfortable. The back deck and back yard were so inviting. They provided a wonderful place to have an extended family gathering. Definitely would stay here again.

Great Cozy Cabin

We go over and play golf a couple of times at a golf club there locally there in Ball Ground and usual stay in the cottages they have on site. This cabin on a farm is our new spot! Super clean, the owners are extremely gracious and our local to the area if any issues were to arise. One of my favorite stays for sure!

Great Stay!

First let me start with as a fellow VRBO owner, I am extremely picky when it comes to rental properties. This property is a home run! From the layout to bedding to temp control. It was perfect!! The bright and pristine cabin welcomes you in to a perfect space to relax with your family. It is stocked so well that two items I forgot to pack I didn’t even have to worry about! The beds were soo comfortable and the ability to control the AC at night was a blessing! For those that need to work while away, there is a dedicated work space away from the common area along with high speed internet. My daughter and I enjoyed playing outside on the swings and taking a walk through the peaceful surroundings. If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay around the Cumming area- book this one now! We will be back ☺️. Thanks Brett!!!

Great cabin

We loved the cabin itself and the location. Plenty of room for the three of us and access to part of the farm/property for walking was a plus. The cabin was well-stocked for our needs. Owner checked in on us shortly after we arrived and I reached out to the owner on a separate occasion with a question about something and received an immediate response. We regret that we were only in the area for a few days because this cabin would have been great for a longer stay. We have rented a number of properties through VRBO over the years and this cabin is in the list of favorites. We'll be back another time for a longer stay.

Quaint, cozy getaway cabin

If you are looking for a cozy cabin, this is it! I had family coming into town for a funeral and needed extra space for family to stay close-by. This was not even 5 minutes from my house. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the back porch was perfect for hanging out with the family. My 5 year old nephew LOVED the big swings they had in the back yard. We are incredibly grateful for the convenience and the quality of this cabin!

Fantastic family getaway

This was one of my best rentals yet! Such a beautiful property. The cabin was impeccable. It was spacious, clean and well stocked with all the essentials. Communication with Brett was great, so hospitable and friendly. My favorite part were the views and the swing outside. So peaceful! The kids definitely enjoyed the basketball court. Location was central to the places we visited including Helen, Blue Ridge, Lake Lanier and Atlanta. Just book it, you won’t regret it. Thank you, Brett!

Far exceeded our expectations

This great property was everything we hoped for and more. The owner had left on a couple of lights on in case we arrived after dark. The house itself is stunning, very comfortable, & well decorated. We had more than enough room for us & 3 kids while we stayed. There were a couple of fantastic surprises, such as the two spider web tree swings outside that even our 16 year olds found entertaining. There is an outside basketball goal & a few basketballs already there. The 2 bedrooms downstairs were spacious & had perhaps the most comfortable mattresses we've slept on away from home in quite a while. The upstairs bedroom has an over/under bunk with a full bed on the bottom & a standard twin up top. It worked well for our 16 year old boys. There is a bathroom upstairs & also a bonus loft room, so our boys basically had the entire upstairs to themselves. Currently there isn't anything in the open loft space other than a TV and a bean bag chair, so there is a ton of potential there to enhance the cabin even more. There were flat screen TVs in every bedroom & one in the living room downstairs. Plenty of seating & the dining room is mostly windows, which allows for plenty of space to eat as well as a nice space if you (unfortunately) have to do some work while you're there. You can see the pastures & horses from in there. The owners do a lot of little extras. There was ice in the freezers, & our youngest really appreciated the S'mores kit they left for us along with the popcorn. We never had a chance to use the Traeger & only used the Blackstone griddle one time. We also didn't do any inside or outside fires (way too hot in July in GA) but the setup was there for that if we had chosen to. Being able to park inside a climate controlled garage space was awesome. There is an additional basement space which is empty & also climate controlled which worked great for us as a staging space for arrival & departure. The ceiling is a little low in the garage, so we emptied our van outside instead of having our tailgate possibly hit the ceiling. The owners asked us to make suggestions to improve & really there isn't much. The door to the hall bedroom downstairs doesn't stay open so something decorative to keep it open would be great. The master bath door opens into the space, so when you are a male and get up in the middle of the night, a door opening & bumping you in the backside is startling. Can't wait to come back next year & see the horses again!

The perfect getaway

Freedom Farm in Cumming, GA was our first VRBO stay, and what an amazing first experience it was. Our family traveled to Georgia for a baseball tournament and family visit. We wanted a place centrally located to our destinations that also had a vacation vibe. When I first saw the cabin listing, I thought it was too good to be true – it looked amazing. Spoiler alert – it is! Brett and Sher are fantastic hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Not that we needed much; they really did think of everything a family would need to feel at home. Feeling at home also means feeling safe and the location and property definitely gave us that feeling. We ended up cooking many of our meals at the cabin and eating outside on the back deck. There are many restaurants in the area if prefer dining out - we just didn't want to leave. The property is quiet, with only the sounds of cicadas to lull you to sleep in your comfortable bed and soft linens. Our favorite part was walking the property and visiting the animals. Our son couldn’t get enough of the tree swings. I even found myself stretched out on one to read. There are many board games for the kiddos as well and a basketball hoop. If TV is more your jam, there is one in every room. We preferred relaxing in the comfortable chairs on the deck late into the night while listening to music and enjoying a cocktail. There just aren’t enough good things to say about the cabin on Freedom Farm, none of us wanted to leave. If we can ever make it back we most certainly will.

Amazing stay

We wanted a getaway, close enough to family but also privacy. We wanted access to a lake. Our vacation was so awesome. Lots of great memories made for our kids and grandkids. There is something for everyone, from a comfy couch to a cup of coffee in a plush chair on the back porch. From board games to video games. From petting and feeding horses to walking trails. From sitting in the nice AC on a hot humid night to swinging so high in one of the 2 tree swings. Family and memories are key for us and we captured them both. There is a great area for a nice fire to make some great smores. All the light switches are labeled which is a huge plus going in to an unfamiliar place. The beds are so comfortable. The towels are very plush and nice. Freedom Farm is close to Lanier, Allatoona is not too far and Carters Lake is about 50 minutes but worth the drive as well. Brett and his family definitely did a great job with this one. The only negative I can say is, we had to leave, but we will be back for sure.

Relaxing getaway

We traveled to Georgia for a baseball tournament and brought the entire family. For a family of 7 we had plenty of room. A beautiful Cabin is tucked away with a wonderful view of land and horses. The back porch was a nice place to watch the kids play and just relax while grilling. Not to far away from Atlanta and fun attractions. Owners were great and attentive to our needs! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!
