“Great spot to break up the journey when travelling through the countryside. Very friendly staff, good breakfast to start the day and our room was huge. We only stayed the night and it lived up to its name as we rested and were thankful!”

“Unfortunately our stay was marred by the fact that the bathroom bin had not been emptied and contained the previous residents used sanitary products!!! The shower took 25 minutes to drain and, whilst we understand the logistics of old manor houses, if the plumbing is not up to standard then this should be at least mentioned on booking. “The hotel was particularly quaint and uncommercial yet had everything that we needed. The food was excellent, however, there was no option for gluten free cereal which was a shame but there were plenty of other options available.”

“Lovely hotel in the centre of Taunton - staff were really helpful and polite when we checked in. The room was clean, comfortable bed and clean bathroom with all the amenities - great water pressure in the shower! Also the room was very quiet for a Friday night so not a lot of outside noise can be heard. Breakfast was really good lots of choices, fresh food and cooked to order items.
