The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. “Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna!”

“We loved staying at this lovely home just outside of la fortuna! the property was clean and well stocked and the host was so helpful and quick to respond!Highly recommend having your own car if you book this place as there isnt much within walking distance. no complaints from us though, we were aware of this and had no issues.we felt safe and my kids loved seeing the unique wildlife (birds, lizards etc) right on the property.”

“Excellent little cottage less than 10 min away from center of La Fortuna (uber worked well)- but away from the hustle and bustle. Better than advertised in terms of amenities provided. The bedrooms are small and there is a single bath (with towels and soap/shampoo provided). Full kitchen with induction stove, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster etc.and adequately stocked with pots, pans and plates etc. Lovely sitting area, tastefully decorated and a nice, small outdoor seating area as well....
