Nice, spacious rooms with good amenities (towels, bathroom necessities, hairdryer etc). Walkable distance from the beach and some nice restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. Unfortunately, our stay left us a bit shaken as on the 2nd and last night, we were awoken at 2.30am from loud screaming and crying from a neighbouring room which went on for at least half an hour. We tried calling reception (which we understood to be 24/7) multiple times during this period only for the phone to ring but remain unanswered. We were very concerned. The next morning, sleep-deprived, we reported this to the reception and were informed that the staff handling the night shift was busy with a late night check in and hence not able to respond to the calls to the reception. This explanation is also concerning, as it is evident that there is no contingency or back up plan for when a staff needs to be away from the desk at night, and if there is an emergency in one of the rooms. For instance, there could have been call forwarding of reception calls to the staff's mobile phone.
It's a pity because other than this incident we could have had a pleasant stay at this hotel.
