“A unique Scottish hotel that is in the process of being renovated. Food was good and staff friendly, though reception appeared to be unstaffed. My room was one of the older ones so the renovation will be a big benefit but overall the hotel was great value and much better than an anonymous generic chain hotel.”

“The bed was very comfortable and despite the head I slept really well both nights. Location is excellent within easy walking distance of town centre. Breakfast was first class both days and set me up perfectly on both days.”

“Friendly staff but a bit slapdash at breakfast, rooms comfortable but south facing rooms need a portable aircon unit when warmer outside as the room was stiflingly hot despite window open and fan on. Excellent food which we could not fault for two nights dinner.”

“Property located in peaceful location. Not much in the walking distance. You can walk to local pub in about 25 minutes. We drove everywhere. Very nice beach in 6 minutes drive. ”
