“The garden wing was in desperate need of refurbishment, we upgraded to the ocean wing where we found great rooms and shangri-la standards. We had come to see orangutans (as wideley sponsored on-line) and other wildlife with some ocean fun, we found no apes and jelly fish infested, highly polluted waters (fracking is taking place all over the area). Nevertheless the service was good, the hotel was clean and the weather pleasant. Not returning ”

“시내에서 그랩을 타고 갔는데 생각보다 와! 멀다는 아닌데 멀어요…물이랑 간단한 먹거리 챙기세요! 셀프체크인 하라고 연락왔는데 체크인하우스 가니까 이름 여권 확인후 친절히 안내해주시고 정문이랑 룸이 멀어서 언제걸어가나 했는데 수시로 버스있구요 발코니문열면 넓은바다보이고 바로앞에 수영장있는데 엄청크지않고 수영장 물은 괜찮은데 큰애들이 다이빙금지라고 써있는데 다이빙하더라구요 직원은 없어서 제지안되구요 그시간피하면 저희애들은 마음껏 수영했어요 시내에서 멀고 편의점없고 다 알고갔는데 화장실은 조금 관리가 덜된!느낌이라 언니랑 둘이 애들쓰기전에 간단하게 청소하고 사용했어요 저희언니는 하수구 냄새가 조금 났다는데 저는 못느꼇고 일단 직원분들 진짜 친절하셔요!!”

“Our state was very nice. No problems. Just to be aware that this is not the touristy part of town. With no offense meant, we were the only white couple. We saw the whole time in this area. Everyone was smiling and friendly. No problem whatsoever with the locals they were very welcoming!”

“Here is the English translation: “High-end hotel but could be better. The rooms are spacious and the bedding is of good quality. The biggest downside for me is the cleanliness of the sofa and carpets in the room, which is unacceptable (cigarette burns, numerous stains…). Breakfast is average and the dining area noisy. Quite far from the city center, it can be difficult to find a taxi when there’s heavy traffic. In conclusion, it remains an average hotel.””

Inspect the kitchen utensils, the water filter is leaking, the dish soup is non-existent, the drying rack left in the kitchen cupboard to house insects, the living room sofa leather was teared apart. “Great place with nice rooms and beautiful view (both to Mt Kinabalu and Kota Kinabalu). Standard Malaysian breakfast and decent lunch and dinner menu. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room (104) was very good although there are a few ants around (so make sure not to leave food around). Bed, shower and toilet were nice and clean. Internet worked quite well (not guaranteed in this area). Our best place in Sabah so far (out of 6 good hotels).”

“We were a group of nature lovers who were using this as a three night stay to get used to the temperature and time change upon arrival in Borneo. Loved the grounds and snorkeling right from the beach. Fantastic nature center staffed by several biologists. The food options were a bit pricey but we were expecting that. The grounds were very birdy and we found two Borean Pit Vipers. The mangrove tour was fantastic. Room is very good quality for the price.”
