The two main destinations are Crowders Mountain (2.8 mile walk from Sparrow Springs Access) or the Pinnacle or King's Pinnacle. The Pinnacle trail is a pleasant 2 miles trek uphill through rich forest. The last little bit has some rock scrambling with signs that urge carefulness. But the views are stupendous, especially with fall colors in full display. (About 45 minutes west of Charlotte, NC)

One of our favorites!

We use VRBO multiple times a year. This is hands down one of our favorites. It’s fun, unique, and surprisingly spacious. We have 3 6ft teens and nobody complained that they were cramped. Owner is greatLocation is quiet and peaceful Crowder mountain is perfect for hiking and trailsWe plan on coming back next time we’re in NC!!!
