“We only stayed at Storrs Gate House for one night to break a long journey to Scotland but we would have no hesitation in returning for longer to explore the area properly. The accommodation was supremely comfortable, the breakfast was superb and the hosts were wonderfully welcoming. Storrs Gate House is only a short and pleasant stroll from the centre of Bowness but far enough away to be quiet and tranquil. Altogether top notch. Highly recommended. ”

“This was a lovely spot for my stay in Windermere. Very convenient to the train station and bus stop, as well as pubs and restaurants. My room was comfortable and roomy with a full bath, including tub, and a beautiful view of the fells when the weather was clear. Anita and Denis are great hosts - warm and welcoming. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. ”

“We had a great stay at Rum Doodle, a friendly welcome on arrival we were shown to our room. We stayed in Wish, which was clean, well equipped and we loved the quirky decor and nice village views. Great shower! The only minor issue we found was the 4-poster bed was quite creaky, and some noise from other rooms but that's just the nature of the building, and it was very quiet overnight so we slept well. The location is great for exploring Windermere and Bowness, both easily in walking distance and...
