Hotel a Damnaglaur

“Beautiful seaside Victorian hotel! Staff were stretched thin but very friendly, dinner and breakfast were great, high ceilings in the room, stunning views out the large original windows. Some parts of the room could maybe use a deep sanitize clean, bathroom had an odd aroma. Room and hotel were well appointed otherwise. The walk down to the lifeboat station at sunset was 👌and the hike to Dunskey castle the next morning was incredible.”

“My room was disappointing. The en-suite was smelly and the windowless room had no functional ventilation fan. It did not help that the main room window could not be opened. Overhead lighting in the en-suite was hanging loose from the ceiling and the flooring around the (recently?) replaced sink had not been replaced and didn't fit. The bed was OK but something in the linen caused throat irritation which prevented much sleep and the TV was so pixellated it was useless. Hot drink supplies were...

“Overall we had a great stay. Hotel very clean, staff great. Our evening meals were excellent. The breakfasts were a bit of a disappointment. My order was bacon and egg. When i came it looked like the one rasher of bacon had been cut in half. Similarly my wife's poached eggs were garnished with half a tomato. One small point for a hotel of this standard the toilet paper was a very poor standard.”

“Had a lovely stay at the Waterfoot- all staff were really friendly and welcoming. Small room but clean and comfy. Ate both dinner and breakfast here and food was fantastic.”
