The Northern Wairoa Hotel
Very hospitable hosts and a great place to stay. Rooms still need a bit more work but they are getting there. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We will be back.

Omamari Beach / Kai iwi Lakes / Kauri Forest
Shower was our main issue, and my partner got splinters from the terrible deck outside & fell off the broken seat to lol otherwise its clean

Beachside Kiwi Bach at Glinks Gully - pet friendly!
Perfect getaway spot, with easy access to the beach. Great for pets and families with loads of activities.

cheap and affordable
Lovely accommodating host. Provided fresh free range eggs and fruits from the property, and welcomed us to help ourselves to fruits/ veges from the garden and eggs from the chickens.Spa pool wasn't available while we were there, possibly due to the recent adverse weather conditions.
