  • This ’upside down’ apartment has fantastic river views from its first floor living room with vaulted ceiling.. 32 steps to entrance.

    First Floor:

    Open plan living space.

    Living area: Smart TV, French Doors Leading To Balcony

    Dining area.

    Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Induction Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Dishwasher, Washing Machine. Electric heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Balcony with outdoor furniture. Public car park (£8 per day); additional on road parking. No smoking.. This charming two bedroom reverse level apartment set in an elevated position in Kingswear with stunning River Dart views and to the Royal Naval College. This apartment has been refurbished in 2025 and provides perfect accommodation for two adults and two children. It is located in the very heart of Kingswear and is just a few minutes walk from the quay, ferries, village shop, cafe, and two public houses.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Upper Riverdene and felt that it was a lovely little apartment and

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Upper Riverdene and felt that it was a lovely little apartment and area to lovely to stay in. We found the transport links with buses, ferries and trains really easy and convenient and although Kingswear itself was very quiet, this suited us and made for amazing views across to Dartmouth. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need to make a meal and we did many times with ease. We found the beds super comfy and felt comfortable in the living area also. We were all able to manage the steps at the side of the property fairly easily, an 8 year old and nearly 70 year old included. There is a strong hand rail all the way up which helps. Although worth noting, the day that we brought up the suitcases and then down when we left were more awkward but we still managed and the effort was certainly worth it for the stay here. Loved watching the world go by from the balcony and seeing and hearing the trains, would love to return one day.
