“The cottage was clean, cozy and absolutely perfect. I stayed in 11A and it was awesome. It had a cabin feel, and a great view of the trees and river. Loved the loft too! I'd stay here again. It was close to town but felt like it was far away in the woods. I loved the fireplace but if I could change one thing, I'd put a hot tub on the deck. A great getaway overall! ”

Lots of little details were great like the lights, the Nespresso machine, windowed mini fridge, outlet placement, etc. Being able to wake up with an espresso and watch the sunrise on the balcony was magical. “I’ve stayed at Ocean Gate Inn several times when visiting my son at UCSC, and the staff has always been kind and professional. One thing I really appreciate is how they go above and beyond — I’ve arrived as late as 1 a.m., and they’ve called to make sure I was still coming, which shows great customer service. Sometimes I show up with two cars (mine and my son’s), and the man at the front desk always says it’s fine and never makes a big deal about it. The rooms are clean, it’s in a safe area,...
