1st room was NOT good. Bedding was old & stained with a few dead bugs inside the sheets and bedspread so we asked to be moved since our room was nonrefundable and we had paid for 4 nights. The nice gentleman who worked there not only moved us but upgraded us and in the 2nd room we found no bugs although the bedding still looked old with stains, luckily for us I had brought our own mattress cover, sheets, comforter & pillows from home so we used our own. The room itself appeared fairly clean, towels were white with no stains, AC & Microwave worked well. We didn’t use the coffee maker or stove top. The balcony gave a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. The pool area was beautiful and appeared to have been recently re-done. We had no issue with parking during Thanksgiving weekend & checkout was easy. Our $100 deposit was back on our card within 3 days as promised.
My recommendation to the management/owners:
Throw away all bedding and buy new bedding that’s not all stained, encase your mattresses in zippered covers to protect from stains & bugs & hire a professional pest control. With these few changes your complaints & bad reviews would go down drastically & you’d have return customers.
What I learned: ONLY BUY REFUNDABLE ROOMS & READ GOOGLE REVIEWS because they’re most accurate. I read reviews that were mediocre but I expected that for a lower priced hotel. The day after my Dtr asked if I read Goggle reviews so I did & regretted my purchase immediately.
