Loved this hotel as it felt like old beachy Florida, but it would’ve been nice to be able to travel solo as a single woman without the staff of a hotel shooting their shot with me.

The room was especially clean the owner was excellent in directions and even reached out back to me helped me w door code overall stay was a 10 outa 10 couldn’t ask for a nicer and super easy set up I’ll definitely use them again

Well my unit was a ocean view and it was 100% Ocean view. Not like some that say ocean view and you can see the ocean from an angle only. I had full view of the ocean from North to South of the beach. 100% Room was very nice one of the best rooms in a long time.

Reserved a room one month in advance. Got to the hotel the day of and was not able to check in. Never received email or text with the unit number from the owner or anything they were supposed to send me within 48 hours of the stay. Nor did cancel the reservation or anything lije that. Needless to say Never stayed at the hotel and was pretty much scammed by the private owner I'd the room

Room was musty and smelled of mildew. View was obstructed by a large building.laundry was.old and worn out pillows were useless flat and worn.no furniture except a old fouton and plastic chairs.

They cancelled the booking due to a plumbing issue in the unit but never sent out any communication about it. I called the number multiple times for it to go straight to voicemail because the instructions were not sent for check in. To me, sending no communication about cancelling is very unprofessional because then last minute while I’m sitting in my car I had to scramble to book somewhere else.

The unit itself wasn’t terrible. The whole building is a little outdated & the lobby smells kind of like stale cigarettes & our hallway where our room was smelled like marijuana the whole time. We loved being on the beach, easy access to the beach & pool, & close to most of the main attractions. Now, we did an incident that scared me & really made my husband angry. Apparently, the owner of the condo scheduled a showing of our unit, WHILE WE WERE IN IT. I was in our room with my toddler, who was napping. & these ladies just walked in & viewed the condo while I was sitting there & they woke up my child in the process. We spoke with the front desk & they called the owner who claimed he called me & told me but I never received a phone call or email giving us a heads up. Just a little unprofessional in my opinion.

I didn’t know. It wasn’t an actual hotel but, more of a B&B. Which was ok. Ad on hotels.com don’t say that. Didn’t really see any staff. The automatic didn’t work. Had to use the key. The box for the automatic unlock wasn’t working right. Never heard from the host about anything.

Such a great location to the amazing pool and access to the Beach. Loved the 1st floor room. Building is older and noise level isn't well insulated but I would stay there again. The second bed needs to be updated. Thanks

The only problem I had was coming to the hotel with the bathtub dirty but 2 days later someone came to clean it the building and pool was overall in good conditions there was high tide so we didn’t get much beach time but the pool was in great condition very clean everyone is nice here the bed was very stiff but I would recommend the staff was beyond understanding and I would definitely come here again in the near future

This is an absolutely wonderful property The condo is very very clean very quaint private stunning view even though you are not on the ocean you still can see all the way up up the beach coastline it is an excellent choice if you are going to make vacation plans I would definitely consider staying here for sure people are absolutely amazing very friendly.

The check in process was easy, no issues. However, there was a disclaimer on the listing that stated upon arrival, there would be a key that gave you access to the outside doors and to get back in from the beach access, if they key wasn'tin the room upon departure an extra charge would be added. I booked two rooms, only one had a key. I contacted the host, they said a key would be at the desk (after 3 msgs and only one reply), no key, I contacted them again, no reply. Had i not booked an additional room, I would not have been able to get back in after the office closed. Also, one of the bookings was a "panoramic view, 3 room" it was nothing close to panoramic view and was literally one regular room, with everything ("kitchen" dining, etc.) in the one space. Overall, decent for the price, but I wouldn't book again.

This is not a hotel/resort. These are purchased units people rent out. The accommodations were NOTHING like they were presented to be, at all. Paid for a king bed with kitchen, we got a full bed with a microwave, fridge, and sink. The door to the balcony was literally the only one rusted over and nearly cut us (you can see it from the pool). Rusty nails exposed. You have to pay for ice on-site. The host refuses to communicate. We ended up spending double our budget because the host lied about the accommodations and we were expecting to have a kitchen to use. The locals literally laughed when we said we were staying at Castaways.
