Seaside Cottage, Deal

  • Located right on the seafront in the heart of Deal, Seaside Cottage is a charming Georgian home with stunning seas views from nearly every room in the house, perfect for families or couples seeking a relaxing stay. Once believed to have been a traditional shopfront, a nod to Deal’s rich maritime and trading history, the large picture window now fills the spacious sitting and dining room with natural light, creating a bright and inviting living space. The house has recently been renovated and tastefully decorated with seaside touches throughout. The small, but well-equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need for holiday meals. Upstairs across two floors, are two tastefully decorated bedrooms with the most wonderful sea views. You can wake up to the sound of the waves from the comfort of your bed. Step outside to discover a sweet little courtyard with table and chairs, a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine as the sun goes down. Just moments from Deal’s independent shops, award-winning eateries, and historic pier, Seaside Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the Kent coast. Your four-legged friend is very welcome too.

    Bedroom One - Sleeps 2, with King bed, bedside tables and lamps, chairs, side table, mirror, built in cupboard, sea views

    Bathroom - with bath and overhead electric shower, wc and basin

    Second floor

    Bedroom Two - sleeps 2, with Twin beds, bedside table and lamp, chest of drawers, built in cupboard, mirror, sea views

    Parking

    Pay and display parking on Beach Street. Free parking can be found on Beach Street (towards the Rowing Club).

    Dog friendly - one dog is welcome, downstairs only.

    Things You Need to Know

    This property is typical of houses in the conservation area, with steep stairs and low ceilings in places
    Towels and linen are provided - no beach towels
    One dog is welcome, downstairs only. Please note additional pet charges are £25 each per stay

    Central heating throughout
    Cot and high chair available on request - please note that cot linen is not provided
    There are a few steps in and out of the bathroom

    Please note that there are building works going on in the neighbouring property. These works will be carried out Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm and Saturday 8.30-12.30pm. These works are subject to complete on the 30th November 2026.

    House Rules

    We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.

    Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
    Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
    Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
    For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property. No charging of e-scooters or e-cigarettes.
    Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
    Parties and loud music are not permitted.

Pretty house in a convenient location

Beautifully styled house with stunning views. Some issues with water pressure in the bathroom, it all in all a pleasant mid week break in delightful location.

Great family stay

This property was rented for a long weekend for our young family with a couple of small children. staying for a family celebration. They had a wonderful stay and they loved this property location and how well maintained and bright the rooms are. No issues getting in a little earlier definitely had a wow factor. Thanks

A special location

A wonderful location. The property was let down by a number of things not working - blinds in the bedroom - electric shower and cupboard doors in the kitchen. All easily fixed but not to a standard we expected.

Suggested improvements.

1 The tv is complicated to operate. Why not a tv with simple access to the main channels. 2 Shampoo in the bath room and kitchen roll in the kitchen would be useful. 3 The main living area would benefit from some carpeting or rugs. These are intended to be constructive suggestions, we hope to book again.

Beautifully renovated cottage

Seaside cottage has been recently renovated to a very good standard.It is also very well equipped in terms of kitchen and laundry equipment and utensils . My only quibbles were that the fridge/freezer was very small and that the lighting in the living room and small bedside lamps could be looked at. The traffic on Beach Street may be irritating to some people as it appears to have no speed limit.

The perfect location for all that Deal offers

The bed was the most comfortable one we've ever slept in.The sitting area in the bedroom was very relaxing. The bathroom was quirky but lovely .unfortunately we stayed during the heatwave which the house was not equipped for. The kitchen and utility rooms were scorching hot. Some blackout blinds are desperately needed and also in the front room. There are no fans anywhere to use . The kitchen was well equipped. The utility room was very dirty with weeds growing indoors. We left it cleaner than we found it. When it rained lots of water came in under the back door . The excuse of a small garden is just a horrible little area we didn't want to sit in. Just a few flowers would help. The Old rickety dinning table and area was quite depressing . Some pictures, ornaments and mirrors would really help. There was nothing homely about the property but it is in a perfect location .
