  • Prepare to be amazed when you step inside this charming property. It is light, bright, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The perfect retreat for couples wanting to enjoy Deal and explore this wonderful stretch of the Kent coastline. This lovely lodge sits in the grounds of the owners’ house, and a charming little garden has been created for guests, shielded from the main house with bamboo screens.

    Front door leads into the kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge with ice box, dishwasher, and dining table and two chairs.

    Sitting room with large sofa, Smart TV, electric wood burner.

    Bedroom - sleeps 2, with Kingsize bed, bedside tables and lamps, walk-in wardrobe, Smart TV, desk and chair, ensuite shower room with walk in shower, wc and basin.

    Towels and linen are provided - no beach towels.
    Pets are welcome. Please note additional pet charges of £25 per pet will be charged.

    Parking for one car on the drive.

    House Rules

    We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages to our beautiful holiday home. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
    Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
    Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
    For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
    Please note quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am. Please be respectful to neighbours.

More spacious than we thought. Left us crisps and biscuits which was welcome but some milk in the fridge would have been nice.Location walking distance to town and close to Deal Castle.2 showers and toilets were a bonus.

Great location

A slightly unusual arrangement in the back garden of the owners house but this is not in any way detrimental to the accommodation provided. The Blue Lodge has been tastefully executed and offers a great space with everything you need. The layout is spacious with large size rooms which is excellent for families or couples. Parking is a real bonus. The location is great for exploring and is ideally situated in proximity to amenities. The owners are very respectful of your privacy and this is also a great place for your dog to come along too. Literally 5 mins walk is an amazing little restaurant offering great Rib's and brilliant service. If you have time visit 'Red's Brisket Pit', you wont be disappointed. We recommend Blue Lodge to stay without any question.

The Blue Lodge

Lovely pretty spacious comfortable lodge for a stay in Deal. Residential location but still with walking distance of all facilities and the seafront. Owners were very discreet which made it feel very private and relaxed.

POOR HOUSE KEEPING

The property was very nice and comfortable and the owners very amicable and friendly. On arrival we found that rubbish bins had not been emptied also on further inspection we found cobwebs around all the Velux windows on opening them. There was also a problem with the fridge ( needed defrosting) as the freezer door did not close properly, this was rectified by the owner, therefore, problem solved. It appears to me that your cleaners are not taking care when cleaning the property and insufficient inspections of properties are carried out. In future we will be booking the Blue Lodge again hoping Keepers Cottages have adhered to the aforementioned inspection.

2nd visit here. Very clean and although in the back garden of a family home, there was no intrusion.

Garden was pleasant place for a morning coffee and our dog was able to roam freely. Perfect for couples with a dog.

Few days in Deal Kent

The accommodation was excellent and an easy place to see Deal and the surrounding towns . The car parking was a bonus as Deal has few spaces to reliably park. Close to local shops and supermarket. The owners left some lovely things to try loved the granola, crispbread and tea most unusual.

Excellent Accomodation in Deal

The property was a complete surprise. A huge high quality lodge in the owners Garden. Ideal location for visiting the Kent coast. 5 minutes from the sea by car and 20 mins walk. 30 mins from Ramsgate Broadstais or Margate. 45 mins to Canterbury. The property was very clean and comfortable and thecowners friendly and helpful. We would recommend the Blue Lodge to anybody. ..

The Blue Lodge. Deal

A fine space for short stays/ long weekends. Too far from town for anything longer. Travel back after dinner out is not enjoyable. Dinner in needs reassessing, there are 3 induction hob sauce pans with an old frying pan and a random lot of Pyrex. The utensils need updating. Otherwise a restful location.

A great stay at the blue lodge

We had a four night stay at Blue Lodge. The property was immaculate, had everything we needed. The property is in the owners garden but that was no problem at all. It had the added bonus of private parking which in a seaside town like Deal is worth its weight in gold. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Second stay this year

We first stayed here in May this year & have just made a very welcome return visit. Peter & Chi are such friendly and welcoming hosts. The property is in a great location within easy walking distance of the town and the parking space is a great bonus in Deal. The property is perfect for our needs and our puppy loves it too. The garden is safe and secure for her and she's very happy here. Will definitely be returning again

The Blue Lodge - Deal

If you are going to Deal we can thoroughly recommend the Blue Lodge, we had a long weekend there in February, it was really clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, including our own parking space. The location was perfect, easy 10 minute walk into the town, we barely used our car while we were there. The owners were very nice and were there for anything if we needed them. We had a lovely warm, comfortable weekend and we would certainly go back and stay there again. The service from Keepers Cottages was very good too, giving us all the information that we needed for the booking, great service!

Just perfect.

Had 3 nights in the Blue Lodge Deal. The accommodation is spacious, immaculate and modern , tastefully decorated with several beautiful fresh houseplants and a manicured garden with lovely outdoor seating area. Smart TVs in lounge and bedroom and en-suite to bedroom and additional bathroom off lounge. We had some wonderful walks with our puppy and didn’t need to use the car the whole stay which stayed on the free allocated driveway space. Everything is within walking distance, beach, restaurants, pubs and town etc all within 10mins walk. Couldn’t fault the check in, checkout process and the welcoming hosts. Highly recommend it.

The Blue Cottage experience

Arriving at 37 Park Avenue Deal it was difficult to imagine what the accomodation was going to be like. What could be in the back garden of a smart semi detached house that could constitute a holiday cottage. Stepping through a wrought iron gateway there it was. The Blue Cottage a delightful small dwelling set in a surprisingly large rose filled garden. Stepping inside the cottage was truely a “wow” moment. The interior was striking. Simple but beautifully designed with everything necessary for a self catered stay. The plants and colour coordinated ornamental accessories gave a wonderful “ at home” feeling. Everything was sparklingly clean. Fresh towels on a heated towel rail and a very comfortable bed made for a quite luxurious stay.

Excellent in most respects

The Blue Lodge exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. Spotlessly clean and immaculate, it really was a beautiful place to stay. The place had everything that we wanted. We met the owners and they were extremely pleasant and very helpful. It was in comfortable walking distance for amenities in Deal and easy driving distance to places in Kent that we wanted to visit. We have stayed in very many holiday cottages run by different companies and this was one of the very best. Our only slight reservation was the parking situation, this was in no way the fault of the owners. Although we were able to park on their driveway easily, the fact that other cars were parked on the roadway almost blocking their driveway made getting our car on and off the driveway difficult and almost dangerous. This though was in no way attributable to the owners and should not put anyone off wanting to stay at the Blue Lodge. Overall though I would recommend the Blue Lodge very highly.
