“Shambala is a quiet plantation stay a few kilometers away from Yercaud Lake and the other busy tourist areas. The manager, Mr. Ravi, front desk manager, Jayaram, Chef Sundar and the restaurant and maintenance staff all personally attend to you and offer really great service. The place is clean and well maintained, and there is wifi even inside the rooms.”

“To me it's falsely glorified dingy heritage property which is run by a stingily maintained management firm based out of Chennai. The only one plus point for this establishment is its location. ”

“Shocked with the hotel. It’s little better than lodge & feel terribly cheated having paid 10k a night. I understand it was Christmas weekend but anyone booking should not pay more than 5k a night. Sheets & towels were clean ”

“During check in they mentioned that not accepting foreign ID. So they asked me to find other hotel and said will refund in 48hrs but till now there is no update from them. Already more than 48hrs. ”

“The web site photos are misleading. There is no worthwhile view from hotel. Lift did not work. Supposed to include free breakfast but restaurant was closed as they had no other guests. Not open for lunch either. Premium room was supposed to have 2 rooms. Second room was sofa bed in entryway. We could not cancel as we had checked in. We gave the room to our driver and found a luxury resort nearby for the same price. Do not be misled by their photos. Reviews are probably fake. Stay away from this...
