Not a good experience. The hotel itself is decent, but check out was and continues to be a nightmare. My Expedia rate includes all room charges and taxes. The front desk associate refused to honor my agreement with Expedia and told me that I must pay 18% in taxes. These taxes were already included in the Expedia rate. The front desk associate informed me that it is not my fault or the hotel’s fault and that I must pay the room charge, the taxes, and then “additional” taxes. Since I had a flight to catch, rather than argue, I let the associate charge my credit card again and told him I would contest the charge. Once I arrived to the airport, I received a message on WhatsApp from the hotel associate who apologized for overcharging me and agreed to provide a refund. He said he could issue the refund via PayTM which we do not use in the US. I have requested several times for my credit card to be refunded and have been told this is “impossible.” A very frustrating experience that soured my trip. I should not have to fight so hard to correct a mistake that was not mine. I will contest the charges directly with my credit card issuer and I will absolutely never stay here again.
