With such a central location, you can easily head into the main drag of Depoe Bay offering several restaurants, varied souvenir shops, and amazing views from the rocky seawall. The easiest sandy beach access is about two miles north at Fogarty Creek. If you want to venture beyond the immediate area, head 14 miles north for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and boating in Devils Lake, or go slightly farther north for gambling at Chinook Winds Casino. If you've brought kids, they'll love the educational exhibits and playful sea life at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, while those 21 and older will appreciate a brewery tour at Rogue Brewers on the Bay.

We spent 5 days in this property in Depoe Bay. We feel that the listing misrepresented the property in many ways. The view from the property is amazing, however, there are public seating areas on either side of the property AND it is on the main road through town, with a lot of heavy traffic night and day. It is not a residential neighborhood, it is in a commercial area. This was never mentioned in the listing or hinted at in the photos. The main floor was nice as described, but it seems to have been last cleaned well before our stay. The lower level was AWFUL. It is a separate unit, and could accommodate two separate groups, but that was not clear from the property description. There was a terrible odor from the lower level that persisted - really a musty and sour smell that was really unpleasant for our kids. It did get better when we opened all the doors and windows, but returned after spending the day away from the property. The downstairs bedrooms and bathroom also felt as if they weren't cleaned in a long time. We didn't even want to shower downstairs. This location is managed by Vacasa, NOT a private owner. Vacasa was informed of our problems and some of the features that were in disrepair - we never heard back from them and presume they took care of these issues, but we will never know. The location of Depoe Bay is nice to access a lot of other towns up and down the coast, There is a lot to explore in the surrounding area. This is a property we would not come back to and felt overpriced.

The decks and scenic view were appropriate for a premium vacation rental unit but the interior of the unit did not support premium pricing. It was lacking in some of the basic amenities required at this price point and the downstairs had a unsettling smell that could not be removed even with deodorizers. Beautiful view, but although the unit is nicely decorated and the kitchen beautiful, the units lacked some true basics. There were no extra blankets or throws. The beds only had sheets and a thin quilt. The kitchen lacked basics such as a blender or mixer. Check-in did not go at all smoothly. The unit was not ready on time, and when asked why, housekeeping stated that the dryer wasn’t working. The gentleman had made the beds but both the sheets and towels in the bathrooms were damp. I called, but my request for dry sheets was ignored, and we slept on damp sheets the first night. The dryer was fixed late the next day, and additional blankets dropped off after 9 pm on the second night.

Beautiful house with amazing views... we loved the sound of waves crashing on rocky coastline . House was very clean and in very good condition: only area of improvement would be having extra blankets available.
