“Stayed a night at Charlesvoix House (Northside) on our way to a family funeral in Sault Ste Marie. This pretty town is walkable and worth a stopover. Writing this review to thank our host Terry. She reminded us of the treasures we had discovered at many bed and breakfasts in our travels in the 80s and 90s, before the days of airbnbs and sterile Wyndhams. “Only gave the hotel 2 stars because the staff was very nice and friendly. Otherwise it would’ve been a 1 star. The property itself was a disappointment. The pool area only had one working light and was not well maintained. Our room was too small for a family of 4. The bathroom was like a closet and the sink was right next to the bed. Barely enough room for clothes in the wardrobe and definitely not enough room in the bathroom to hang wet bathing suits without them dripping all over the toilet....

“Great place to stay!! We needed a room for one night before heading over to Beaver Island and Adoba saved the day. Brand new renovation and great housekeeping staff was so appreciated, all at a super reasonable price during peak season in one of Michigan's priciest resort towns. THANK YOU- we'll be back. Only 10-15 minute walk from downtown Charlevoix. *Note: No ice machine. Remote contactless entry, but staff does pick up the phone to assist.”

“What a perfectly quaint and serene B&B. Jean and Dave have truly created a masterpiece to clear the mind and enjoy a special getaway with your significant other. The grounds were a gardener’s paradise and our room was so cozy we felt like it was home. It was triangulated between Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Boyne City - perfect location. Do yourself a favor and stay here, you won’t regret it!”
