Bestie's Trip

Overall it's a good little vacation spot. If you like to cook your own meals, please bring cooking utensils and pot holders, there were none available. Also, if you have small children; the traffic noise is a bit loud on the street side.

Older Condo, expensive for what it was, but overall convenient location...

The cleanliness when we arrived wasn't terrible, but my kids asked for clorox wipes to clean a few areas in their room and I'd say that has never happened... The age of the condo probably attributed to the cleanliness rating. The air intake for the a/c was rusted and overall just looks like a 20+ year property that has been minimally painted versus upgraded. Bathrooms smelled as well. I think it was just in the old piping, but didn't go away the entire time we were there. The overall location to other areas and beach was convenient, but get ready to drop $400+ if you want to have an umbrella and chairs...

Dirty and outdated

Beds old and saggy, floors dirty, feet black after walking on them, rugs dirty, sink in bathroom held water long time after using, couch dirty and worn out. The whole place needs redone, and repainted. Would not book again.

Nice vacation

Nice, clean property. We enjoyed the stay. We had family staying at SunDestin which was a little difficult due to the strict policies of no one can go to the beach from sterling sands unless you have an arm band. So when my daughter and her family came to visit us at our condo they couldn’t walk down the beach to theirs, they had to walk down the sidewalk in front. Other than that the filters aren’t correct they had it advertised as room for 6 but due to the square footage they only allow 4 to the condo. It worked out okay as two of the family that were trying to go weren’t able to. There was a beautiful view from the balcony and I would recommend it to others.

Great location, but condo needs some updating

Great location right on the beach and overall property was nice. The bunk beds were not sturdy at all, screws were coming out that we had to constantly screw back in. Lights weren’t all working and the master bedroom mattress was as hard as a rock! The property was great, but the condo definitely needs some work!

Condo 812 - top floor

Condo was as advertised, clean and well maintained. Kingsize bed was not very comfortable as mattress was a bit hard. Washer and dryer units are very small and could only hold two or three items at a time. Property was well maintained and nice landscaping. Condo was on the top floor and had a beautiful view of the gulf from the balcony. Would definitely stay again.

Once loved condo now old, tired, rusty and filthy.

All human interactions except a guy at the Beach Chair Rentals was outstanding and friendly!. Sadly the condo we rented, 8th floor amazing views...smelled like cheap perfume and deodorizer had been spilled repeatedly and our first night was rough. (headaches and nausea from the acrid odors). Next day we clezz as ned because the condo was filthy, aired out what we could and brought in baking soda by the truckload which did eliminate the smell. Then we were challenged with miserably uncomfortable living room and bedroom furniture- beds were agony old and beat up. While cleaning we found a vape pipe in chair cushion, popsicle stick and bubbles beneath couch and just plain do it under all raised furniture. Condo has been painted over rust and just left to continue corroding if it couldn’t be painted. Place seems like no owner is involved at all and it hasn’t seen any live in at least 2 decades. Kind of sad for ocean front condo! Cannot recommend and would not reserve again.

Sterling Sands - 812

We enjoyed our recent stay. Check in (after hours), was easy. We had little interaction with the staff, but the grounds and pool area were always clean. The furnishings and unit itself are adequate but dated and clearly geared towards the quick turnover of tourism, but the view and location are great. It's a short walk to the Back Porch restaurant and a short UBER to the Harbor Area which I highly recommend. The beach area is very nice and offers a nice peaceful walk in each direction. I would recommend.

Great location, sad unit.

This unit is in desperate need of updating, thorough deep cleaning and new flooring especially the carpeting. The cabinets look like they’ll fall apart and the range looks original, not in a good way. Will choose something else next time. However, the location is great and the view is spectacular.

First Stay

I have only 2 minor complaints. One day at about 3pm in the afternoon there was a loud bang on the door. A man that said he worked in maintenance said he had a ticket to change a bulb. We should have been contacted prior to this by management to assure us that this was planned maintenance and that the time was good for us. We have small children and do not benefit from renting chairs and umbrellas because we are not able to stay at the beach for long periods of time so we bring our own. There are very small areas that are much farther from the entrance to the condo that we were asked to move to because we were blocking the views for others that rented chairs. Besides these small inconveniences, our stay was very enjoyable for a very reasonable price.

Great location

This unit was right on the beach and close to several great restaurants and attractions. It was clean, nicely furnished and had comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and check-in was easy.
