“What an amazing place. Quiet, peaceful with fabulous staff who are professional and kind in equal measure. The pool area is lovely and kayaking through the adjoining river in the late afternoon, when its mill pond still and cooler, to catch the sunset is a real treat. The flora and fauna will also amaze you not to mention the Safari! Highly recommended place. ”

“Remote space to really get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We stayed at Kay Jay Wild’s for 2 nights so we could do a full day safari at Wilpattu. While Kay Jay Wild’s was close to an entrance of the national park, it was not the main entrance which meant we had to wake up earlier for our driver to drive to the other entrance which was ~40km more distance. Otherwise - service was great and every hotel staff was helpful, friendly and kind. ”

There is not much in the local area so you need to keep this in mind if planning to visit a shop or restaurant during your stay, it’s not really possible ”

“HR Solo traveller I visited the Sanctuary on the recommendation of a friend and thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay there. Great care and much thought has been given to the furnishings of the house. It has an extensive collection of books on wildlife and birds and I could have spent many hours browsing this collection. The food was delicious and I was looked after very well by Dula and his team.
