“The room was very clean and the a/c worked great. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The kitchen/restaurant isn’t currently open but hopefully it will be soon. The ice maker doesn’t work but the front desk person was absolutely wonderful and went to the kitchen to get some. The place is undergoing some much needed renovations however; the facility is clean, quiet and is going to look phenomenal when completed. The price was very reasonable as well. I’d stay again if I was traveling...

“It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left...
