“Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and hosts. Very enjoyable breakfast with some wonderful jams. Pre dinner drinks reception most enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and would love to come again ”

“in general the hotel was an adequate overnight stay, clean, tidy and in good order. however there was nowhere to get a drink after a long journey, except a drinks dispenser in reception. The Buffalo Grill round the corner, which was good for food, did not open til 7pm. Nowhere to sit except in the bedroom. However the breakfast was excellent, plentiful and well stocked. ”

“We had arrived by bike after a 70 km ride and we found the gate closed. The time was 4pm, as indicated on the booking for check-in, but the owner told us to come one hour late because he was not home. The room was dirty, and the fourth bed fell apart in the middle of the night and was not suitable for an adult person. Breakfast had counted items and at the request to have one extra croissant the answer was "no". The place does not offer any beverages for purchase. You have to drink tap water...

“Le séjour chez Monique a été très très agréable! La maison est très belle, les chambres accueillantes avec une attention aux petits détails, le ménage est impeccable chaque matin. Le jardin est bien entretenu et c'est un plaisir de s'asseoir et de lire un livre en toute tranquillité en compagnie de quelques chats et de drôles de poules. Mme Monique accueille tout le monde avec affection et est toujours souriante et radieuse malgré ses mille tâches. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et pour le dîner...

“If you want to wake up to birds singing and enjoy the country then this is the place for you. It is only about 15 minutes out of Alencon and the lace museum has the most wonderful exhibits. I wish we could have stayed longer, it is a beautiful area and Alencon is a delightful historical town.”
