“The hotel itself is mostly fine, with a good location and a nice view. The staff, however, were the worst among our eight stays in Sri Lanka. They weren’t friendly or helpful and had a clear “what do you want” attitude. They even woke us at 10 p.m. to ask what breakfast we wanted, which is unacceptable. The “western breakfast” was just buttered toast, and it took 40 minutes, even though every simpler place offered more. They mentioned eggs as well, but after 40 minutes nothing appeared, and...

“I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. We were blown away by the service, hospitality and genuine kindness of the staff. It is technically a “villa” but much closer to the European definition of a boutique hotel. It offers five large rooms, any of which would have comfortably accommodated our family of 3.
