“For us the RIU is always a safe choice, also this time. On the property it is very nice. All the restaurants, the kindness of the staff is good. I think that it is a typical Asian thing that when they think you're done eating they rush your plate away. Same was in Indonesia and Thailand...and I still not get used to it. Entertainment during the day and evening, nothing to get bored. Once you leave that area, for example you leave to go to the beach, you are surrounded by many people who all...

“The property was clean and convenient. The staff were helpful when requested. However, maintenance work has to be carried out in the apartment. The shower and the sink in the bathroom got flooded when used. The stove and the washing machine were malfunctioning. And the room was not cleaned during the period, though the terms and conditions state that it would be cleaned after the 5th day.”

“The main restaurant has no AC or fans.”

“There isn’t much close by just the beach and huge amazing pool. Wish there were more shops”

“This is a spectacular hotel that I would recommend for anyone. The pool is incredible, the rooms are spacious with great views and the staff is so kind. This property, location, and screams luxury. 10/10 experience.”

“Great place to stay. Very clean staff were great. Only negative was that wifi was out for our 2 night stay. Great breakfast and pool was very nice. A wee bit out of the way, no shops or restaurants nearby, but very quiet and relaxing.”

“We had an amazing stay at hotel Dormero. The hotels right in front of the beach which made it very convenient for us to go around swimming and other beach activities which were nearby. The room itself was kept spotless with daily housekeeping. The staff were very nice and polite. We even had the opportunity to celebrate new years with the staff and eat amazing food. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would recommend. ”

“I nearly wanted to provide one star if not for them upgrading the room. The room had 3 large cockroaches that fly. I injured my palm while hitting one. There were many other insects and spiders too. After they upgraded us, the TV in the room couldn’t work. The breakfast was limited and tasteless. The location was not ideal. Should get one inside Galle Fort. ”

“Property has very spacious rooms and well maintained. Lovely Beach location although waves rough at this time. Food overall quality, very tasty and well presented. Staff very personable ,attentive and seeking to offer service especially Assistant Manager Siri, Dilen and Nilanga.”
