“Staying at Southey House was a superb experience!
My hosts were friendly & kind - always willing to assist.
By chance, I met with the proprietor of this establishment - Like her staff, she was ultra friendly & inquired about my stay experience. I informed her that the parking was a bit tight for more than 3 vehicles - she however assured me that there are plans to expand.
Southey House is located in a dead-ended street, leading to a security entrance of a nearby college - I guess this...

“The lodge is well located in the Hillcrest area, close to the Main Road with it's shops and restaurants. Bev the hostess was very welcoming and seemed prepared to go out of her way to assist her guests. The breakfast in the morning was varied and good. The room, while on the small side, was adequately furnished with a comfortable bed.

“EXCELLENT hotel. We stayed in the Presidential Suite which had amazing views into Kloof Gorge. Very spacious room with very large veranda/balcony and comfortable bed. Our hostess, Alta, was very sweet, nice, and helpful. Breakfast was yummy. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.”

“Hi place is clean however they need to have room fragrance our room had cigarette fume, obviously our sense of cigarette smell is very active because we don't smoke, smoked person was in the room not smoking in there.
Kettle tray only has 1glass and 1 cracked and chipped mug, yet is 2people sharing
NO beverage sachets so what's the point of having the Kettle.
New linen is needed so as the towels.
No floor matts bedroom and bathroom yet it's tiles.
