“As mentioned, I double booked a second rez for a friend to test what was being offered on Expedia - meaning that my 2nd rez I effectively had 2 rooms reserved for the same day; however 3 rooms still shoed being available with private shower. The staff assured me that this time I would get the room with private bath. ONE staff allowed the transfer with the new rez but a few hours later another staff asked for additional money for this room with the manager behind the scene on the phone. I...

“Misleading information about the rooms available to book on Expedia: Room listed with shower but there was no shower. BUT a room with private bath was offered at a more expensive price upon arrival (BAIT & SWITCH). ROOMS WITHOUT SHOWERS have access to a community bathroom facility BUT The toilet located across from the room did not work and one must go to the other end of the hall for the toilet. The shower st the end of yhe hall does not have hot water. Leaving one working toilet for 3 rooms....

“This hotel is an absolute gem! The rooms are clean and spacious with all seemingly having amazing ocean views. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a bit outside main tourist area, which is fine as reception was able to call taxi or I used 1Bena (Gambia Uber). Highly recommend!”

“We traveled down to Gambia to attend a funeral seremoni and chose to stay at cape point hotell since that was familiar to us and the first hotel we ever stayed at in Gambia! It was a good choice! We lived next to family in Bakau and were well taken care off by the staff! They were there whenever we needed help and they were very supportive and service minded during our entire stay! All in all a good trip with a lot of new friends! We will definately be back! ☺️”
