“I loved this place! Some colleagues were staying at boring, soulless places, like the Ritz, but I chose this because it looked really authentic and homely. It was my first time in Florida and I was really happy sipping my beer, listening to the country music from the next door bar and feeling like I was on holiday, even though I was there for work!

“Breakfast appeared fresh. Staff polite and helpful. Clean room BUT - the shower floor was extremely slick!!! I had to constantly hold onto the bar in the shower to maintain my balance and even then, I was very afraid of falling!!! I had to straddle the outer edges of the shower floor to brace myself. “Everything was excellent with the exception of the breakfast buffet considering the room rate. Sparse and cheap best describe the buffet which consisted of cold scrambled eggs, over cooked sausage patties and clumpy oatmeal. Only fruit offered were a few bananas and the bread selection was also limited. There were two waffle irons available but the crowd of people trying to cook something hot for their children made the wait too long. For a Marriott property I found this buffet substandard. ...
