Charming 4-room duplex with pool, perfect for 6 people

DIVES SUR MER / PORT WILLIAM. Cottage with 4 main rooms, with a capacity of 6 people, with an area of approximately 66m², with a magnificent open view of the Dives and access to the swimming pool of the residence.
The cottage includes: a living room/lounge (with flat screen TV) overlooking the garden with a view of Dives and equipped with a barbecue, a semi-open kitchen (with fridge, microwave and conventional oven, 4 induction hobs , a dishwasher and 2 coffee makers (classic and Tassimo)), a 1st bedroom (with a [hidden]x[hidden] bed) with adjoining bathroom (shower and sink); upstairs: a 2nd bedroom overlooking the Dives (with a [hidden]x[hidden] bed), a 3rd bedroom (with [hidden]x[hidden] beds), a bathroom (with bathtub and WCs) and a laundry room (with washing machine) . Independent toilets on the ground floor.
A closed box is available to you.
Pets are not accepted in this rental.

Petit cottage qui correspond en tout point à la description. Très bien agencé avec placards dans chaque chambre et 2 salles d'eau.Emplacement top, calme, proche de la plage de Cabourg, avec vue superbe sur la Dives.L'accès à la piscine de la copropriété est un vrai plus pour les enfants. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Avec un accès WIFI ce serait parfait.

Notre séjour

Lave vaisselle et le four ne sont pas fixés donc dangereux. La literie des lits jumeaux est très inconfortable, peut-être pas adaptée pour des adultes, literie du lit de 160 plutôt ferme. Baignoire dangereuse car pas de tapis antidérapant, on a glissé plusieurs fois risqué d’accident. Enfin le ménage moyen car beaucoup de toiles d’araignées au plafond. Pour finir un peu plus de vaisselle car pour 5 que 4 mugs. Le grand radiateur de l’entrée ne fonctionne pas. Sinon c’est bien placé.

Great location but in need of a refresh

The property is perfectly situated for all local attractions, history, nature, water sports, restaurants and shops; and for easy access to main routes further afield. It's in an idyllic location with a great walking path around the estuary, over to Cabourg and along to Houlgate. The garden areas were a bonus with a large awning over the terrace overlooking the estuary, and the communal pool was lovely. The welcome arrangement were efficient. The beds were very comfortable and bedding kits were fresh and crisp (although some guests didn't like the square pillows). Living accommodation is great for four adults or a family, but would be less comfortable for six adults. The kitchen is small but has all the appliances needed for self-catering. This is quite difficult to find around Cabourg so is a real bonus. However, much of the kitchen equipment is old and could do with a refresh. The bathroom was a good size, shower room very small, but both are in need of an update. All sanitary ware needs a deep clean and decalcification – it was impossible to get the tiles/bath/sinks properly clean and the shower head sprayed in a number of unwanted directions! The cottage had not been professionally cleaned recently – hair collected in the corners of the bathroom; crumbs on the dining room table under the table mats. This is often a problem where cleaning is an added extra as guests don't want to pay extra, but then don't really want to clean thoroughly before they leave. For location, facilities and comfort (and a garage to park in) I would recommend this cottage, but it is a little tired – with a refresh and deep clean I'd give it five stars.
