“It was the most unpleasant stay in Sri Lanka and in general in several years traveling in Asia. The receptionist was totally unfriendly, just interested in getting us out out the hotel....and we understood why: some rooms were under renovation, so there was noise from early in the morning through the day. Nobody addressed us any excuse or recognize any kind of compensation for that. The guy at the restaurant was superb and hostyle, trying to reduce breakfast against what was our right to receive...

“I had a really wonderful time at Tabula Rasa. Felt like the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure my stay was perfect. The location is stunning. It is worth being located up hill in the peace and quiet, and so easy to pop out in a tuk tuk. The food was really good, I expected to eat out more but, I’d often crave the chef’s dhal!
