L'hotel nel suo aspetto abbastanza bello sul mare, ma aveva delle grosse lacune tipo, c'era scritto sulla prenotazione che c'era la lingua italiana e invece nessuno parlava italiano, ci doveva essere la navetta per l'aereoporto gratuita ma era inesistente, cibo costoso senza colazione incusa... La location era distante dalla città o da una ferrovia e i mezzi sono pochi e ci sono 40 minuti di cammino per arrivare al centro di Donabate

Esperienza da dimenticare.
I grumi di polvere sulla moquette delle scale non erano niente a confronto della moquette rotta e macchiata della camera. Sul letto un piumone con il copri bianco che lasciava intravedere un alone scuro. Siamo arrivati di notte e siamo ripartiti la mattina successiva per fortuna. Niente shuttle di notte per i clienti; abbiamo dovuto prendere un taxi.

Posizione incantevole e strategica
L'impressione generale è buona, la posizione favorevole compensa qualche mancanza organizzativa, soprattutto da parte del personale della reception. Il bar è nello stile tipico dei pub irlandesi, molto frequentato nel fine settimana dalla gente del luogo, quindi vivace e soprattutto comodo se non si vuole uscire dall'hotel per bere una buona birra e vedere una partita in compagnia.

This place is literally overlooking the water and you can walk right down on the beach! Amazing full cooked breakfast included! We loved it!!

Shoreline means right beside the beach!
Hotel is in a great location. Our room had fabulous views. Room was a good size. Service was very good both at reception and at dinner.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. Literally on the shores of the Atlantic with miles of beach to walk. Loved hearing the waves going to sleep. The hotel is in need of a facelift, but we loved being there. The dining room was lovely. Had a very old world feel to it.

One night in perfect room facing the Irish Sea
The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is worth spending a bit more for a sea facing view. It is superb! Service good and food plentiful and tasty If one was very fussy room could do with a bit more work but this is reflected in the price

Very nice hotel on the Irish Sea. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We only stayed for one night but would return again.

Excellent stay
Hospitality above par! I have stayed in many hotels in the world and the service, the location, the staff are excellent. Nothing was too small, they offered advice of local places to visit, help with taxis, and the smiles. The room was so much bigger than I expected, and the bed very comfortable. Lovely touch of the dark coloured flannel to wash your face - because make up can ruin white towels. Loved that. Ample supply of towels, toiletries and toilet paper. Comfy bath robes and slippers. And the breakfast is excellent. I would recommended the pancakes with berries. Last of all, the views. The sunrises are spectacular at Donabate.

This property is somewhat dated but clean and the staff are great. Wonderful access to the beach for a stroll. The bathroom sink had been repaired (cracked and an eyesore) but could have been replaced which would have been much better.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport but far enough away to be enjoyable. We were very pleased with the property. It's right on the beach so a beautiful location. It has plenty of parking and it was easy to drive to. The desk agent was adorable and she was so very helpful. She offered to book a table for us for dinner and she arranged to have some breakfast items available for us since we needed to leave before their breakfast service. Our room was clean and modern and quite spacious. We had one large bed and a twin size bed. The bathroom was very modern and well lit. We enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant and a short walk by the beach. We needed to leave early for our flight but there were several breakfast options available just as the desk agent promised. Our drive to the airport was about 25 minutes. If you are looking for something near the airport but not AT the airport, you might consider this property. We would definitely stay again.

Worth it mainly for the beach access
We stayed just on night before our flight back. We really appreciated the beach which is 3km long and just above the hotel. The location is the main advantage. On the other hand, our room was deceptive. First, as we were not in a sea sight view room ... we had instead an horrific view on the hotel backyard. The hotel room is not a low price, we can expect something way better. An effort should be made to look cleaner on the backside for half of the customers on this side of the building. Second, I'm travelling a lot and this is the very first time for me to find a bathroom with not a single electric plug. I mean, are you supposed to shave or hair dry on your bed ? Also not a single hook for your towel ... Fortunately, the staff is very friendly. I came to comply and request an extension wire which was delivered in a very short time afterwards. Breakfast was good, with sea view.

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel, was leider in die Jahre gekommen ist und lange keine Reperatur erfahren hat. Türen klemmen, Fenster brauchen dringend eine Wartung. Wasser läuft im Bad schlecht ab u.s.w. Dafür sehr freundliches Personal.

GOOD VALUE, Close to the Airport.
Good value, service in the restaurant a bit slow- perhaps understaffed? Rooms are clean, some with pleasing sea views, and the walls, though not soundproof, are not as thin as some of this type and age. No hot water in the shower at 8am suggests that the HWS needs an upgrade! But as I said, all in all good value.

Need improvement on rooms facing the mobile homes
The location is great if you like near the sea. Restaurant staff are great. The room need a lot of work and need renovation especially if you get the room facing the mobile homes park. Seaview facing rooms are probably new.

Really friendly staff could not do enough for you. Room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic view,food was good and plentiful and loved the breakfast. I would fully recommend to friends and family and would definitely return again, thankyou.

Lovely location and getaway but not modern
Lovely staff, very helpful. Hotel is not modern. It's had a cosmetic makeover but walls are thin and bathrooms have clearly had years of use. Location is beautiful with the beach walk and restaurant had everything we could need so ended up spending most of the time just relaxing in the hotel or by the beach outside.

Leider kann ich keine Bewertung zu dem Hotel selber schreiben, lediglich zu dem Verhalten im Vorfeld des Aufenthaltes. Uns wurde ein Tag vor der Anreise mitgeteilt, dass plötzlich ein Zimmer, welches bereits im letzten Jahr(!!!) gebucht wurde, nicht zur Verfügung stehe und man ein anderes Zimmer in einer anderen Stadt(!!!) als Ausweichquartier zur Verfügung stelle! Wir hatten als Famile drei Zimmer gebucht. Also sollten dann zwei Personen in eien andere Stadt!? So etwas macht man nicht! Wir haben dann, mit der sehr kompetenten Unterstützung von Expedia, zwei Stunden nach einer anderen Lösung gesucht. Das braucht man im Urlaub am vorletzten Tag dann auch nicht!

Beautiful Location, but a good 25 minutes from Dublin., Although, train access to Dublin, expensive by Taxi. Short staffed at this hotel because of off season, but the staff there was very helpful, especially a young lady named Jen. Great price at this hotel, versus hotels in Dublin City. Great beach front location for swimmers and kid and dog friendly.
