  • Questo splendido cottage con 1 camera da letto è immerso in tranquilli giardini ai margini di Maiden Newton, nel cuore dell'area di straordinaria bellezza naturale del Dorset occidentale.

    Ci sono fantastiche passeggiate in campagna direttamente a portata di mano ed è a breve distanza in auto dalla splendida Jurassic Coast con le sue spiagge incontaminate. È a 5 minuti a piedi dai negozi del villaggio, da un ottimo pub locale adatto ai cani e dalla stazione ferroviaria.

    C'è un comodissimo letto a barca super king-size, doccia potente, cucina completamente attrezzata, Wi-Fi affidabile con banda larga super veloce, smart TV da 40", stufa a legna e vasca idromassaggio privata tutto l'anno.

    Siamo super dog friendly, accettiamo tutti i tipi di pane e un numero illimitato può soggiornare gratuitamente. Tieni presente che al giardino si accede tramite gradini esterni o dal pianerottolo del primo piano, quindi potrebbe non essere adatto a cani anziani e infermi.

    Dai un'occhiata alle nostre fotografie e tieni presente che Google Street Views è molto obsoleto e le cose sono cambiate.

The property was exactly what we needed. It is in a lovely village with all amenities. The bed is super comfy, the garden is a very private sun trap, and the hosts left a variety of dog beddings, towels and toys which came very handy as we had forgotten to bring our dog's bed.We enjoyed a lovely walk to Cattistock and back, and visited West Bexington for a lovely day by the sea.Would definitely recommend to other dog parents and keen walkers.

Lovely cottage with hot tub, and parking, in village, with friendly (walkable) Chalk ‘n’Cheese pub (no food), music at weekends. Ideally situated for Dorchester, Bridport, West Bay, Lyme Regis (beautiful area). Most things have been thought of, but could do with some steps, for hot tub, (I am in my late 60’s ). Ideally (especially in this hot weather), take your own top sheet, bath sheets, and fan (if required). Bed was really comfortable, and TV very good. We had a lovely stay, and could be absolutely gorgeous with a bit of TLC to outside areas. Karen very helpful - we left some keys, and she very kindly sent them on to us - thank you, again. Would stay again (if they’d have us), and recommend.

A lovely place to stay

The Old Coach House is excellent accommodation. Very well equipped and perfect for short breaks. It has a very comprehensive information pack covering everything that you will need including local walks, dog friendly attractions, places to visit and places to eat out. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely short stay

My husband and I stayed with our large dog for a short get away in Dorset. We had a fantastic stay and will absolutely be back. The bed was large and comfortable, kitchen stocked with everything we would need and the living room was very cosy. The hot tub was an added bonus after a long day out walking!

Relaxing Short Break

Lovely property, we parked up on arrival and didn’t get in the car until we left. Great walks on the doorstep. The garden was a real sun trap, and the hot tub was lovely after a long day walking.

Great dog friendly bolt hole

We had a lovely stay, the property was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The location for us was great, if you like walking then highly recommend. Within 40 minutes drive there is a large number of places to visit and the village has everything you need. Pub within a couple of minutes walk as well as shops for supplies. Would happily stay here again.

Beautiful property, perfect location

Highly recommend this beautiful property. It was fully equiped with everything we needed. Village with pub a few minutes walk away with many footpaths to explore. Hot tub an added benefit after long walks. We will definitely be back !

The property was not particularly clean. The outside area at the back was grubby,and neglected therefore we never used it. The shower needed a deep clean. The bedroom carpet was stained. The sofas were still damp from an attempt to clean them. Overall downstairs there was a pervasive smell of dog, which the fabreze the owner supplied did little to mask. The bed linen however was pristine and the mattress very comfortable! The kitchen was clean and adequately equipped. Overall below par.

Had to contact the owner as the hot tub was not ready for our stay and had to be filled and warmed up. We then only had two nights in the hot tub instead of three we had paid for the hot tub via the booking agent but the owner was not aware of this !!!

Lovely cottage

Cottage was in a lovely location very peaceful setting however there were a couple cleanliness issues, black mould on alot of the tiles in the shower, the shower is definitely not made for anyone bigger than a size 14 and lots of limescale on the shower head the bed frame was very dusty and the toilet kept dumping water periodically which was annoying at night also we didn't realise you had to " book" the hot tub, that being said its was a lovely relaxing break and would definitely stay there again.. these issues didn't bother us but it might bother future guests head,the bed

Not luxurious as described.

When viewed 1st online, 14b Cattistock road showed the rear of a property with large garden. Reality, not so! Very narrow path to gdn, accessed from 2nd floor was not suitable for a large dog or to relax in. If the weather was wet, access from garden would be right next to bedroom. Not ideal for dog. Kitchen utensils were dirty or damaged. I do have Photos to back up this statement. Would describe this property as standard.

Lovely Location

We arrived at the property to check in at 16.15 to find that it hadn't been cleaned and was not read. We contacted the owners who came and we then had to vacate for several hours whilst they got it ready. We were very disappointed that they only offered us a 10 refund as the hot tub could not be used that evening, but the inconvenience for us was having to go out whilst the house was prepared when we had been travelling all day. Aside that, the house is in a lovely location, very quiet. It does need some TLC, felt that we had to wash dishes before we used them, there were no sharp knives, dishwasher was very dirty, shower looked grubby. Could be improvements on the cleanliness and some of the paintwork in the house.

Dreamer dorset

Fantastic place well equipped everything you need home from home. Beds are amazingly comfortable. Very dog friendly gardens. Hot tubs are well needed best we have every used. Like location to everywhere. Lovely and peaceful, kitchen a little small we are tall so knocked our heads a few times. Overall top quality place. And would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage

Really lovely cottage with a nice garden area that is a sun trap. We loved the hot tub and the wood burning stove, close to beaches and local woodland walks. The communication with the owners was fantastic and they helped us with any queries we had. My only observation would be that the hot tub is across the drive rather in the grounds of the property itself and I wasn’t expecting that from the on line photos or description.

Dog designed property

Great property, the dog loved it, only thought from us is the interior lighting could be on separate switches it was very bright. Log fire was perfect and very warm. We will be back when the weather is better.
