“This was truly the best hotel that we stayed in while we were in Scotland! The only problem is that it is in Glasgow, and it is not even close to one of the prettiest places in the country. “Overpriced basic room. Paid £200 per night for deluxe room, got a small room with just a double bed, tiny bathroom. Hot water took 10mins to come through. Not even a bottle of water in the room. Only 2 lifts for big hotel and 1 was faulty and doors wouldn’t open. Took staff 24hrs to put lift out of order, and then we had to use stairs as too many guests. Staff on reception have no interest in complaints, I guess they are used to it, didn’t even ask how my stay was when I checked out- don’t care....

“I really enjoyed my stay at the Strathaven Hotel. Staff were wonderful and helpful (probably the best at any hotel I have stayed at). The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable (I slept soundly!). The breakfast was included and there’s nothing like a Scottish breakfast! I will definitely return!! Well worth it!”
