“Unfortunately Origin contacted us the day before our arrival and stated they relocated us to another hotel - no reason was given. Origin was booked because it was across the street from the wedding venue we were attending; however, once relocated, we were six blocks away. On the day of the wedding, by the time we found parking and walked, the wedding had already started. On a good note, the hotel they placed us in had free breakfast, parking on the premises was better, and the hotel was generous...

“The Cook Hotel is a hidden gem located right on LSU’s campus. The rooms are well appointed, the breakfast is great, and the gift shop is another bonus! I have stayed here 3 times in the last 8 months and since my son will be a freshman in the Fall, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else!”

“Our room had no smoke detector. The bed covers had cigarette burns on it. The sheets had stains on them. The toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. The towel rack was rusty. A room on the 3rd floor was boarded up! Very sketchy hotel.”
