Vacation apartment in a quiet location, 20 minutes from downtown

Welcome to Haus Kopernikus! We look forward to welcoming you to our newly renovated vacation rental. You’ll be staying in a quiet residential neighborhood, about 20 minutes from downtown Dresden—whether by bike, public transportation, or car. The apartment, with its lovingly restored furniture and original windows and doors, offers all the amenities you need, including a modern bathroom and kitchen. And after a long day in Dresden, the garden is the perfect place to grill and relax.

The vacation rental is located on the first floor of our 1925 semi-detached house; you can access it via a separate entrance.

You’ll have the entire space to yourselves—approximately 50 square meters with a fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, quiet bedroom, and a cozy living room with a dining area. The apartment is ideal for a family.

During the careful restoration of the apartment in 2022, many original details—such as the hardwood floors, doors, and windows—were preserved. Of course, the bathroom and kitchen were renovated and brought up to the latest standards.

When the weather is nice, your own small garden with seating and a grill invites you to linger and relax.


Amenities:

The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary utensils for even a longer stay, including an induction cooktop, dishwasher, toaster, and kettle—but no oven.

The new bathroom, featuring underfloor heating and a spacious shower, leaves nothing to be desired.

The bedroom features a 180 x 200 cm double bed and a spacious closet. We provide high-quality down/feather pillows and duvet covers, as well as towels. A crib with a mattress and bedding is available upon request.

The living room features a futon couch. When extended to 140x200 cm, it provides a sleeping space for one or two guests. This is also where you’ll find the large dining table, perfect for playing games or planning the next day.


Neighborhood:

The apartment is located in Dresden-Trachau, a quiet residential area just a few minutes’ walk from the bus stop to Dresden Airport and only 5 minutes from the highway. Free parking is available right in front of the building.

Public transportation (S-Bahn, bus, and train) is just a few minutes’ walk away, taking you to the city center in 20 minutes.

If you want to explore Dresden by bike, you can store your bikes safely here. Two basic bicycles are available for use; you can relax and ride along the Elbe River to reach the city center in 20 minutes!

The S-Bahn takes you to Saxon Switzerland for hiking or rock climbing in 45 minutes, to Radebeul for wine testing in 10 minutes, or to Meissen and its famous porcelain factory in 30 minutes.

A supermarket, several bakeries, and a large children’s playground and park for playing or jogging are right around the corner.


Getting Here:

Our keyless entry system has proven very convenient for guests arriving on their own. This allows you to arrive even late at night. We’ll send you the access code shortly before your arrival. If you’d like—and if we’re home—we’d be happy to show you around the place in person.

We love to travel ourselves and really appreciate the advantages of Airbnb accommodations over traditional hotels. As hosts, we’d like to offer our guests the same things we value in these accommodations.
