“Great location”

“Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but...

“The property was very nice and the check in process was easy. It would be good to have a car because Uber and car share services do not work in Varenna. The taxi service is a little sporadic and expensive. The train station is a long walk as is town. The view was great with plenty of space. I would rent here again but only if i had a car”

“Sehr schön gelegenes Haus in lebendigem, sympathischen Ort. Das Haus ist geräumig und gut aufgeteilt. Wir hatten beide Wohnungen für zwei Familien gemietet. Gemütlichkeit ist nicht die Stärke des Hauses, bequeme Sitzgelegenheiten (Sofa, Sessel, Liegestühle...) für alle Gäste gemeinsam gibt es weder drinnen noch draußen. “POGNANA LARIO est un village étonnant, pittoresque à souhait. Des vieilles maisons accrochées à une forte pente. Habitations construites pour beaucoup avec des énormes pierres, qui se faufilent entre des sentes étroites pavées de galets, où l’on se perd le premier jour, mais d’où on apprécie la vue sur le lac dès le deuxième jour.Si vous venez en voiture, une petite auto est recommandée car les routes sont souvent étroites et les virages raides.
