“The room was meant to be soundproof but could hear next door for starters, then we seen it wasn’t a king size bed but two single beds put together which wasn’t very comfortable to say the least. Also two of the rooms I’d say are used for permanent residence. Then passing pedestrians through the night was noisy was irritating to say the least. We couldn’t work the heating system for the room. ”

“Great location, really close to everything you'd want to see in old York. Very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. My only quibble - and this is more my fault than that of the hotel - is that to get up to my room, on the top floor, I had to lug a giant suitcase up several flights of a winding, narrow stairway. (York was a stop on my way to work for a month - ergo the giant suitcase). No other amenities in the hotel, so if you want a bite to eat, you'll have to go out. Not a big deal, as...
