Are you looking for a ground-floor vacation rental in the heart of an organic fruit farm on the Elbe island of Krautsand, near a sandy beach (400 m) on the Elbe, where you can experience cruise ships up close? The island is connected to the mainland by two bridges. The first proper houses on Krautsand were built starting in 1620; they were constructed on earthen mounds (wurten) to provide protection against the Elbe’s storm surges. It wasn’t until 1976 that Krautsand was protected by dikes. Typical features of Krautsand include the houses on wurten, the thatched-roof houses, the fruit farms, the pastures, the small nature reserves, the harbors, the small seafarers’ church dedicated to the Good Shepherd
, and the beautiful sandy beach, which, together with the adjacent mudflats, stretches for about 7 km. Between the dike and the beach, trees and willows offer shelter from the wind, rain, and sun. Here you can relax on the beautiful sandy beach, watch ships large and small in the nearby shipping channel
, and safely explore the mudflats at low tide—all without having to pay a visitor’s tax. You can explore Krautsand on 20 km of biking and hiking trails. The Hanseatic city of Stade is only about 22 km away.

This vacation rental with a private entrance is approximately 80 square meters in size (1 living room with a dining table for 6 people and a cozy sofa set, 1 fully equipped kitchen with a corner bench, 2 bedrooms (1 double bed, 1 set of 2 single beds), a large bathroom with a towel warmer, a spacious accessible shower, and adjustable floor heating in the bathroom, living room, kitchen, and hallway). The parking space for this apartment is located right next to the apartment. The apartment is ideal for guests with limited mobility. If necessary, we will place a portable wheelchair ramp in front of the steps.
All windows are equipped with blinds.
