“Wanted to spend a weekend somewhere we'd never been. The apartment we stayed in offered the ability to be able to fix our own meals, sleep in comfort and be walking distance from a multi-flavor soft ice cream shop. We were from 2 hours away. Visited the Benezette Elk Center as well as some of the Elk viewing areas (though we didn't expect to see any, as it was the wrong time of day and season). We also took a short hike. The drive took close to an hour from the Hilltop Hideaway. Although...

“The apartment was very clean. The overall building was fascinating - old dark wood inside, etc. The location was convenient to downtown DuBois and nearby eating places. We had a family get-together in Reynoldsvlle, which was an easy drive. Our only feedback is that the bed creaked in a little and the mattress sagged a bit in the middle. Glad we could have our dog. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay, and hope to stay again next year!”
