The Runway Chalet

Fly-in cabin in Duck Creek Village! Whether you are looking for a relaxing getaway in the mountains or a trip full of outdoor activities, this cabin is for you. Situated in the Dixie National Forest, directly between Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park, this location has everything to offer.

Airplane parking on property.
It is a private airport so if you plan on flying in, please inform us!

The Space
This cabin provides many areas to gather with family and friends - both indoor and outdoor spaces. The bottom level includes a mud room, a living room with pool table/dart board/poker table, a home theater room, two bedrooms, and a full bathroom. The main level includes a full kitchen, a large living room area, dining area, primary bedroom with full bathroom, secondary bedroom, another full bathroom, front patio, and back patio.

Guest Access
Interior: Guests have full access to the cabin - including all bedrooms, front patio, and back patio. Some closets in the cabin are locked, but guests have access to all bedroom closets. Plenty of space to store clothes, food, personal items. Exterior: Guests have full access to use and enjoy the property within the fenced area. Plenty of space to park multiple vehicles and/or an RV/trailer. Guests do not have access to the garage.

We have three security cameras on the property. All of them are outside.

Cozy Cabin

Loved how homey this place felt. Had lots of games, a movie room, and everything you could need. Great neighborhood and even got to see a few planes take off! Host was super attentive and responsive. Would love to stay here again.

Perfect for 3 Couples UTVs

The Runway Chalet was perfect for 3 couples traveling to UT with their UTVs in tow! Plenty of space to park our trucks and trailers on the driveway and access to the Markagunt Trail system right from our door! The place was very clean and has every ammenity you could want as well as some you might not even think of. There were tags for all the light switches, directions to use all things that might need explanation, a notebook with things to do and explanations to guide you through check out, and a mudroom! Everything looks as wonderful as the photos. There was even a doggie bag dispenser outdoors and a mini trash can to collect the bags! There were conveniences we didnt even think we needed that we appreciated, throughout the property. Check in was clear, simple, and timely. Melanie was easily the fastest responding host of any VRBO we have rented, ever! This place was a great central location for us. About 55 minutes to Kanab where we rode our UTVs thru Hog Cyn, to peek-a-boo slots and Great Chamber! One hour drive to Bryce Canyon NP and about 1.5 hours to Zion NP. Super location for all our outdoor adventures! Highly recommend nearby Pinewood Resort Grill in Duck Creek, food and atmosphere is excellent! We only wish we had more time to just relax at the cabin, shoot some pool, chill by the outdoor firepit or the gas firepit on the deck, use the BBQ, throw some darts, and enjoy the movie room. Yes, this place had it all, we just needed more time. We will return!

Winter Wonderland!

We absolutely loved our time at the chalet. It was well stocked and perfect for a family. We stayed in February and arrived after a big snow storm….it was magical! Our family enjoyed the sauna, pool table, dart board and theater room. The location is 45 minutes from Bryce Canyon. Beautiful location!

annual duck Creek getaway

This is a fabulous cabin, it is set up above any other cabin we have rented. It has more than the usual amenities. It was wonderful for our whole group. We come every year we love this location, and we had really enjoyed this cabin.

Perfect secluded getaway

House was beautiful and clean in a more private area of duck creek . Had only a couple neighbors. Really house was well stocked with everything you could need from board games , seasonings and kitchen appliances to bathroom essentials like body wash and shampoo , conditioner & more . Rooms did get a bit bright in morning even with “blackout shades “ which didn’t really black out the rooms much but overall the beds were comfortable and well decorated and very nice . Upstairs bedrooms don’t have tvs fyi . But there is an awesome living room and theatre room. Downstairs bedrooms both had small TVs . Fire pit area was nice and private . We also had tree swings and horse shoes which was an added bonus that wasn’t mentioned in ad for house so that was a great added bonus . We had an awesome stay and we can’t wait to come back again 😊

FUN and so much more!

We relaxed and enjoyed each other in this very comfortable setting. We had plenty to see and do, but the best part was just laughing and eating together and getting caught up. The cabin was simply ideal for each one of us! We all promised to do it again soon.

Mountain cabin

This is our second time staying in this cabin and it is one of our favorites. Kitchen is very well equipped and the downstairs pool and poker tables and movie room are great evening activities. There are caves nearby that we visited.
