“Quiet rooms”

“This was my first time staying here and the place is cute and very close to the shops. Upon arrival there was no one available for check in as advertised on the website and the front door. I also called the phone number on the website and the front door has posted to which no one answered. Thank goodness for a housekeeper and groundskeeper that called the owner (Sandra) to ask what is going on since several families were standing outside to check in. After 2 hours they did an over the phone...

“The room was clean and very comfortable. The location is VERY convenient to downtown Half Moon Bay - right in the middle of some stores. Great for walking to restaurants and shopping. It was very quiet while we were there but I don't know about weekend noise. There is no staff on the premises but they did response to our phone calls to resolve a few minor problems. We paid for parking which was nice for coming and going. ”

“I will continue to be a regular guest when I come to town. Steve at bar downstairs is a gem, however, given I stay for weeks at a time, it is a bit inconvenient that the bar/restaurant is only open Thurs to Sun and closes quite early in the evening. I can live without room service, but after a long day, it would nice to grab a bite.”
