“This was my first time staying here and the place is cute and very close to the shops. Upon arrival there was no one available for check in as advertised on the website and the front door. I also called the phone number on the website and the front door has posted to which no one answered. Thank goodness for a housekeeper and groundskeeper that called the owner (Sandra) to ask what is going on since several families were standing outside to check in. After 2 hours they did an over the phone...

“The room was clean and very comfortable. The location is VERY convenient to downtown Half Moon Bay - right in the middle of some stores. Great for walking to restaurants and shopping. It was very quiet while we were there but I don't know about weekend noise. There is no staff on the premises but they did response to our phone calls to resolve a few minor problems. We paid for parking which was nice for coming and going. ”

“Very well curated with wonderful furnishings that go with a common theme. There are also some great features to the rooms such as fireplaces and hot tubs.”

Steve at bar downstairs is a gem, however, given I stay for weeks at a time, it is a bit inconvenient that the bar/restaurant is only open Thurs to Sun and closes quite early in the evening. I can live without room service, but after a long day, it would nice to grab a bite.”

We asked that the room not be cleaned while we were there, having said that, I did ask on my way out for the day to have more coffee pods and toilet paper brought to our room. That didn't happen. “Sue & Michelle were both amazing, the couple housekeepers we saw were also amazing too! Breakfast was offered to be served daily to our room or to be served at the dining room, we chose our room. Surrounding areas were amazing the weather was great, only small thing was that if you’re there mid day when the temperatures get high there is no AC so it could get a bit warm, but if you just open up a window or balcony like we did and it cooled down instantly. “4/5 rating. This place is absolutely amazing! Only points taken away for is parking lot, very tight and small so if there 2 or more cars it’s hard to get out of. And then the only other point taken away is the balcony, although it is gorgeous views and vibes, anybody can just walk up it so just be cautious and lock the sliding door. The lady in the front was amazing and helpful. The room was super clean and better than the pictures!”

“We booked the "Beachy" unit in this home, but were given the smaller "Peaceful" unit on arrival. That left us with a single bed for four people. Two of us had to sleep on the floor (Pacifica was booked up for an archery event). We contacted the host, and they were willing to cancel the second night, but we were left with the full first night for a more expensive unit and a host fee that was higher than the cost of the room.
