Situata nel grazioso villaggio di Ardentinny, vicino alle rive del Loch Long, questa casa vacanze indipendente a un piano si trova in una posizione ideale per esplorare la penisola di Cowal. La città di Dunoon è facilmente raggiungibile e ha una buona selezione di negozi, pub e ristoranti. Vi è una vasta gamma di attività all'aria aperta in offerta con vela, pesca in mare, windsurf, giri in barca RIB ad alta velocità, quad, tiro all'argilla e altro ancora. I magnifici giardini botanici di Benmore meritano una visita e ci sono molti sentieri nei boschi disponibili per passeggiate a piedi e in bicicletta. Le escursioni sul famoso piroscafo a pale "Waverley" sono disponibili direttamente dal molo di Dunoon fino a 5 giorni ogni settimana durante la stagione, e sono altamente raccomandate. L'intera area è ricca di storia e vanta un'abbondanza di fauna selvatica con cervi, lontre, aquile reali, scoiattoli rossi e delfini spesso visti. Con sede nel Parco Nazionale di Loch Lomond e Trossachs ci sono un sacco di giorni fantastici per tutte le età! Negozio 3 miglia, pub e ristorante 500 iarde.

Achnaha was a perfect cottage for us and the dogs.

Achnaha was a perfect cottage for us and the dogs. There was everything we needed and more. Being all on the one floor was a necessity for my partner and the secluded garden was a hit with the dogs. I would certainly recommend and would love to return.

Very pleasant, well kept cottage with thoughtful and helpful owners.

Very pleasant, well kept cottage with thoughtful and helpful owners. A very quiet location with a large sheltered garden. It is also close to many forest walks and the beach. There is an excellent pub/restaurant in the village.

Beauty and tranquility

Ardentinny reposes between scenic loch and stunning rugged forest-covered hills. Peace abounds. Friendly pub overlooking the loch. Cottage was very comfortable and relaxing and everything was there that was needed.

Cottage was lovely .

Cottage was lovely ..long drive in on a single track road was the only downfall. The "midges " were awful but that's to be expected in Scotland in summer. The cottage itself was nice and comfy...the log burner was good we used it a couple of times as the weather was typical Scottish. Very relaxing time . One other problem. We had was the TV . .the Freesat box was intermittent I think this maybe had to do with the WiFi.

Had a great stay.

Had a great stay. Positives - only a couple of minutes walk to the beach, great location to access Argyll Forest Park sites and many lovely walks, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, quiet/remote neighbourhood Negative - shower was shockingly bad, hardly any pressure and felt like you couldn't wash the shampoo/conditioner out of your hair. Decor looking a little tired and could do with a lick of paint/modernising in places (but this didn't take away from cleanliness or comfort) Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Absolutely loved our stay.

Absolutely loved our stay. Loved the cottage, its location and the extra little touches the owner had placed. Thank you for the bottle of wine the WiFi was brilliant, we were a bit unsure how that would be in Ardentinny but it didn't let us down. The only negative we would bring would be the shower needs to be updated, after a long walk in the rain, a power shower would have made our stay 10/10. Other than that we cannot fault our stay. The bed was really comfortable, slept like a log!! We saw lots of wildlife, including a red squirrel that made lunch of some bread thrown out for the birds!! Who cares about the rain when you can stay here!! Thank you very much.  Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
