Clean room, comfortable bed and friendly staff. We arrived late after a ferry delay. The staff were very accommodating and even advised us on where we could get a late takeaway in Stranraer. The hotel has an air of faded glory about it, but to be fair, I was there in the shoulder season during a big storm, so perhaps I didn't see it at its best.
