This property is spectacular! Pictures are extremely accurate, but seeing it in person will take your breath away. Simply stated Connie has set the bar with being a premier host. She responds to inquires immediately. Check in & check out was easy. The house is pristine clean. There is a book of valuable info left for guests regarding the house & the area. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the space & we enjoyed the privacy. Beautiful sunsets & views!Highly recommend this property, We will return. Thanks Connie

Absolutely stunning home with breathtaking views. We had out of town family stay with us for our son’s wedding (venue was 11 minutes away)! Host was amazing and so communicative. Home was so tidy and clean, so well stocked, just perfect!

Sunburst House is Perfect!

We are a group of cyclists in town for The Tour of the Battenkill 2025. The property was absolute perfection. A beautifully restored farm house with lots of barn space for our bikes, we felt so comfortable and welcome there. The house is perfectly appointed with tons of space and comfortable bedrooms. We had two wonderful dinners and sat out on the beautiful patio watching the sunset and reliving the Bike Race of the day.The grounds are exquisitely kept and a morning hike on the property was just what we needed to loosen up our sore legs.We will he back for Battenkill 2026!!

Spacious and beautiful

The house was absolutely perfect for our group. Even with 5 adults and 2 teens we felt like there was plenty of space. The property is gorgeous and our host was very communicative, supportive, and accommodating. I will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits to the area

Beautiful Historic Farm House

Such a beautiful historic home tucked away in the country. Even though it was an old home, it was very clean and tastefully updated. It was minimally decorated so you could really take in the character of the house and it was even more spacious than pictured. We had all the appliances that we needed and more. The only downside was that some of the suggested activities in the area were closed down and could use updating.

Beautiful Farm Setting

We had a fabulous time. Connie is an excellent host. The attention to detail is flawless. The landscape and true beauty of the farm is very calming and relaxing. Will defiantly come back!!!

Incredible

100+ acre farm with multiple trails, a swimming hole, pastures, multiple barns, ping pong, cornhole, streaming tv, a/c or simply open the windows....all wrapped up in one....it just doesn't get any better! Connie (host) was amazing and always available for any queries as well as being one of the tidiest and organized person ever :-) .... everything was provided and easily available including maps for the trails and history of the area. You won't believe how manicured the land is... Your about 15 minutes away from groceries/beer/alcohol and all the other necessities at any family event and only 30-40 minutes to Saratoga to kick it up...again, the place is great and more than reasonably priced....highest recommendation

Beautiful and spacious country retreat

This house and the surrounding property is absolutely gorgeous. I stayed here with family for a long weekend and we had an absolute blast. The kitchen is fully equipped and the house is so thoughtfully decorated. Connie was so patient and helpful!

Excellent Host

This house was everything I was looking for; great host who had all the attention to details, house layout was great, and outside hiking paths were abundant and marked or mowed, fun games in the barn.Our adult children and I will be back!

Fantastic Property

We loved staying at the Sunburst House. It was extremely clean, well equipped, and in a lovely setting. We were there for our daughter's wedding and took photos on the grounds. It was perfect. Connie is easy to work with and a great host. We look forward to going back again when the need arises.

Wonderful Second Stay at the Sunburst House

We just spent a truly wonderful weekend at the Sunburst House -- our second stay this year. This time we used the house as a base for skiing. We traveled one day up at Bromley Mountain near Manchester (about 45 min) and another at the small local Willard Mountain (about 15 min). Our group really enjoyed the house because it's cozy but it's very large. It's historic but it's neither old feeling nor overly precious (it was toasty warm too on two very cold days). It's just a very well appointed rental house. To list some of the standout features: very nice bedding, sheets, and pillows. Incredibly well-stocked kitchen so that you can host nice meals in the dining room that seats 8+ people. The house sits on acres and acres of scenic land. And it's dog friendly too. Buskirk, NY is a little out of the way but our crew really loved this place and we will definitely be back.

Sunburst House Weekend

We do VRBOs fairly often and I very rarely review them. The Sunburst House, as it’s called, is a spectacular property located on the rural border of NY/Vermont. The grounds are sweeping — it was beautiful in summer and must be breathtaking in Autumn. The house itself has everything you need for a family and friends weekend away. A fully stocked kitchen with all the pots and pans you’d need for preparing a nice dinner, along with a spacious dining room. 4 bedrooms and two living spaces gave us plenty of room to spread out. Connie the owner is local and attentive. Just great.

Family reunion

We were in the upper NY area for a family reunion. The Sunburst House was a relaxing enjoyable place to stay. The house and its grounds were immaculate. The Owner was very easy to work with and provided everything needed to stay comfortably at Sunburst House. My son and his family were traveling with us and we were all very comfortable. There are trails to walk, wildlife to see and generally just vast areas to explore. Enjoy this older home that has been updated to current accommodations. Highly recommend and I will book again if in the area.

Best vacation experience ever!

We chose this location as it was close enough to Troy NY without being too close. My daughter was graduating from RPI and I wanted to have a quiet place for the family to stay together and enjoy ourselves and the local area. This property is amazing! It’s a historic farmhouse with several outbuildings that are in amazing condition. The house has all the updates to make it modern and comfortable while keeping all the historic charm. One outbuilding is a barn which is a great open space to play games and has ping pong, bocci and corn hole all ready to go. The younger folks and older folks all loved it. We took walks on the property and enjoyed so many birds and animals in the wild. The property manager is amazing- so helpful and thoughtful at the same time. I will come back here and have already told many friends and family about this property. Loved it!

Peaceful, welcoming stay

Sunburst a wonderful, renovated farmhouse with all of the modern day conveniences. It is spacious and the property is beautiful, with walks available in the guest book. Connie is a pleasure to work with in making arrangements, and made us feel right at home.

Amazing property

We had a great 11 day stay at Sunburst House. It had everything we needed for our extended stay, and Connie the owner was fantastic every step of the way during our stay. The huge vintage house and grounds are immaculate and the game room barn sets it apart from any other VRBO I has stayed at. Hopefully buisness brings us back again.
