“Lovely cottage, few cobwebs and spiders and there was anest of lady birds in the kitchen window above the fridge which were crawling about in the kitchen too. We noticed that the bathroom wash basin wasn’t fixed to the wall and felt unsafe.”

The grounds are meticulously maintained and the rooms, though older in vintage, are very clean, comfortable, nicely appointed and quite quiet. The nearby village (short walk) is charming, with a variety of excellent dining options. All in all, Otters Green is one of the best accommodation values we have experience...

“We stayed at the Ropemaker for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and its restaurant. We had a lovely king-size bed that was very comfortable. The room had a portable air conditioning unit that kept it very cool, which we appreciated. However, it is noisy at night. The outdoor bar area is super cute and has little cabanas that seat about 4 guests. We'll definitely stay here again.”
