If you are looking for a secluded, private place, yet within minutes of other attractions this is the place for you. This clean, rustic cabin is located on the end of a point, surrounded by a peaceful cove. It has a deck with comfortable wood adirondack chairs from which you can enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the tide come in and out, the sailboats, the cormorants, the seagulls and occasionally the seals! There is a rocky, mossy area that can be explored when the tide is out. We rented a kayak from Tidal Transit in Boothbay Harbor and were able to enjoy taking it out from the dock right at the cabin. If you rent for at least three days, they will deliver and pick up the kayak with all equipment. If you enjoy walking, there are trails to be explored within walking distance of the cabin. Boothbay Harbor is only about a ten minute drive and affords shopping, great ice cream and great performances at the Boothbay Opera House. For an inexpensive lobster experience, Hannaford's will steam lobsters for you and you can take them back to the cabin and enjoy at the picnic table on the deck at the cabin. The cabin is rustic and in a beautiful natural environment and sometimes nature makes it way inside, so don't expect a sterile environment. The cabin is kept clean and well stocked. If you are looking for a Maine get away at a true cabin in an unbeatable location, you can't go wrong here.
