Cozy Cottage and Bunkhouse right at the Water`s Edge

Ocean’s Edge Cottage sits up on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Inner Heron Island in East Boothbay. It is an old cottage with Knotty Pine that has been lovingly restored by its present owners over the past 20 years. It is cozy and full of character and features an indoor spiral staircase and a fun kitchen for cooks that was updated over the winter with new cabinets, countertop, and sink. This home has a regular drip coffee maker. There are books throughout the house that can be borrowed and beautiful views of the ocean the living room.

The main cottage has beds for six with one full bed in the downstairs bedroom with a full bathroom (Bedroom 1), one queen bed in the upstairs bedroom (Bedroom 2), and a trundle bed in the common area upstairs along with a full bathroom. Please note that the trundle bed is not enclosed in a room and is situated in the open space at the top of the spiral staircase before entering the upstairs bedroom. From this common area, there is a deck with spectacular views of the Atlantic and an outdoor staircase that leads back to the first floor. The bunkhouse (Bedroom 3) has one full bed and a cushy chair and table. It can also easily double as a yoga studio or a quiet spot to read.

The home is on King Phillips Trail surrounded by nature and sits on a two-mile loop that is perfect for walking, running, or biking. The west side of the loop features a working waterfront on Little River with wonderful afternoon sunlight reflecting off the water. It is a perfect getaway for families and couples who prefer to recharge in peace.

IMPORTANT:
Instead of placing a security deposit hold on your card, we include a small, non-refundable $25 damage waiver in the reservation total—so your funds remain available throughout your trip. This Waiver covers damages up to $300.

Please note: This property is not pet friendly. Guests who bring unauthorized pets to the property without prior approval will incur a $500 fee and may be asked to leave.
• Quiet hours are 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM. Please respect our neighbors at all times.
• Maximum occupancy is as shown on the listing. Additional guests are subject to $25/person/night and may result in cancellation without prior approval.
• No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property (indoors or outdoors).
• Open flames (fireplaces, fire pits, etc.) require prior written approval.
• No parties, events, or large gatherings without written approval.
• Waterfront/dock use (if applicable) is at your own risk and may require an additional waiver.
• Up to two (2) pets are permitted with prior approval. A non-refundable $200 pet fee applies per reservation. Guests traveling with a pet must notify Sea Maine Vacation Rentals prior to arrival so we can confirm approval. Pets arriving without prior approval are considered unauthorized and are subject to a minimum $500 unauthorized pet fee, additional cleaning or damage charges, and may result in cancellation of the reservation. ADA-compliant service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable law.
