“The decor was ye olde memories of yesteryear. Also music. I’m fond of traditional but found it to be tacky and a bit gloomy. The room was tiny and the bathroom cramped. Pleasant to sit in the lounge in front of the fire. We found the restaurant dinner overpriced and the food mediocre. Dishes were different for the sake of being different without regard for taste. Service and wine good. Breakfast ordinary. I was offered scrambled eggs with roast tomato. Don’t understand how other...
